Decided to give this a shot, after such great reviews, and it was such a lovely evening to watch the sunset. As others have commented previously it's not the most attractive looking restaurant from the outside, inside its ok. The hosts were warm and inviting, there were only a couple of people sat, so we had a choice of tables. We ordered Greek Salad, baked feta, and the Halloumi cheese to start, which was very tasty. We wanted the Stifado and the Kleftiko. No Kleftiko- not great. Early evening, in a Greek restaurant, they should always have their Greek food available. Asked him to reccomend a nice Greek red wine. He brought one out after I said I like Merlot-€25. After the starters, and the amazing sunset, everything went downhill. The Stifado was really insipid, lacked depth of flavour, and was quite a small portion, served with rice and chips, to make up the plate. The other meal was Mousaka, which was just ok. Had much better on our stay here in Rhodes. The recommended wine, was very poor, £5 bottle of cheap plonk really. We were given free ice cream and a complimentary drink to end, which was a nice touch. During the evening there were several diners arriving, some had clearly been here before, which clearly indicates that they do have returning customers. And some of the steaks being served to others looked very appetizing, so maybe we were unlucky. The meal was over€75 which was the most we have paid during our stay, and unfortunately the worst. One thing to note too. It's an open front restaurant and during the evening, when it gets colder, they wind down thick transparent plastic screens and allow diners to smoke inside, which is a big put off, if you are not a smoker, in the middle...
Read moreWe came here because we saw the reviews and thought it would be amazing! It was very average which we didn’t expect. The service was quite slow, we had to ask twice for bits we had ordered as they had been forgotten by the waiter. Even for a casual taverna it wasn’t the best. The food was quite average which we came to expect when we noted the restaurant was empty (tip, never go to an empty restaurant) and the service wasn’t great. We had to check we were in the right restaurant because the reviews suggested a very different experience!...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic experience!!! We had such a wonderful time while eating at Dama’s Restaurant! What I assume is the family who runs the place were very inviting and very attentive and kind. We not only loved the food but we also really enjoyed the conversations with the family. Best of all…THE VIEW! While eating dinner we were able to watch the sun set over Turkey and it was beautiful. I highly recommend Dama’s. Good food, very reasonable prices and...
