Came here on our holiday for a meal, despite the restaurant being empty we were told the only seats available were at the bar by the hostess however shortly after someone came by and said we could sit at a table despite it not appearing to be booked up at all which seemed off to begin with. Service after this was ok, was a little slow to actually order despite it being relatively empty. We ordered food and drink and had a reasonable meal. Food was mediocre at best. Once we finished our meal we wanted to order another round of drinks but felt like we want to have more drinks, play a game of cards and were told we can’t do that (play cards) to our astonishment. Despite other tables next to us not ordering any food and just sat with drinks with a pair next to us sat on their phone with earphones in, another table was sat on a phone call yet we couldn’t play a game of cards and continue to purchase drinks and enjoy our time despite not even being in there for 40 minutes. It felt a little hostile for non locals, we saw a group of other non-locals get turned away. This place gives the impression it’s a boujee establishment but is no more up market than an itsu. The one thing a place like this should be able to do properly, is the one thing that was really lacking. The rice are glued together like cement, there isn't even any vinegar used in making the rice, which is a basic component in making sushi. The mango salad was basically a few pieces of mango slices with a whole lot of shredded cucumber and some peppers, it looked like something you serve off a kids menu. There was no lemongrass as stated on the menu, no sauce or anything to make it flavourful. Other than the excellent service, I would not recommend this place if you wish to taste true sushi (meaning the rolls). If you wish for a simple meal with mediocre sushi then this would...
