Gorilla's Place — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Do not go here. We came here for a quick lunch which ended up being 2hours long. We ordered some starters (to come out as sides) and 4 club sandwiches. It took an hour for these to come out. The sandwiches that arrived were cheese and ham and when questioned we got told 3 times that they were chicken club. As someone who is lactose intolerant this isn’t acceptable and could have ended badly! We then spoke to a different waiter who confirmed that it was in fact a cheese and ham sandwich not chicken club. The sandwiches were taken back and then 30mins later we got the next round of sandwiches. These were chicken but still had cheese in - not mentioned in the menu as would have asked for it to be without cheese. My sandwich was then taken back and 20mins later got another sandwich. This was more correct as to what we ordered but not completely correct as still lacked bacon which was listed on the menu, we decided to just eat the sandwiches anyway as we were hot and hungry. The waiter was apologetic but no money was deducted...

The worst place ever I’ve seen in my life abroad! I am a big traveler and never seen such intolerant and disrespectful behaviour and attitude at all. The “Barker” or “Host” - the one who invites to the restaurant behaved definitely disgusting. I was with my husband learning the menu and he started a talk which disturbed us. My husband politely said to let us watch the menu and the “Host” took the menu out from my hands behaving like a wild monkey and told us that we are not polite. That is only because we wanted to learn the menu without him staying and disturbing us? Crazy. Don’t recommend this place absolutely. No hospitality, no respect, no respect to the woman (it wasn’t me in a talk but the host took the menu out from my hands!) terrible. Never and ever seen such disrespectful behaviour...

It always looks busy so we decided to try it. The staff are really friendly and it had a good atmosphere. But the food was really poor quality. We ordered meatballs but they dishy look anything like meatballs... they were like small flat burgers. No seasoning and we expected them to be in a sauce by nothing. Very dry and not edible. The stuffed vibe leaves, we had never had before so wanted to try them. I have no idea what they were stuffed with! The calamari was delicious. I ordered wine as I had wine last night at another restaurant.... it was just awful! It was just dark and not nice! Definitely wouldn't go back for the food but the staff...
