Marios Bombs — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

The restaurant is new with very enthuastic owners. The service was very friendly and had that family restaurant feeling, in fact most of the family members could be found in the kitchen! We followed the owners recommendations on what to order and were not dissapointed. The food came fast. We started of with crispy chicken with sweet chili sauce. The chicken was indeed very crispy and soo tasty! The chicken souvlaki was grilled to perfection; it was moist but still had that tasty little char. The Mario's Bombs are hearby meatballs, very tasty with the sauce. The bombs also came with home made sour dought bread which was also grilled to the perfection, crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside. The place is great!, the food we got was good and took into consideration all of our allergy's, while still arriving fairly fast. The atmosphere was really classic as there was Greek music playing in the backround. I think the service we got is the best we have gotten in this area in the week what we have been here, it's open all year round (Is what the nice owner told us while serving the food). The food here was amazing 🤩 Besides the traditional gyros we were really impressed by the house specialty - Mario's Bombs! These looked similar to our Romanian Mici but made with beef or lamb; we chose the beef version which were finger liking good! The Balkan bread was also a nice surprise - placed on the grill and served with olive oil and garlic, yummy! This being a family run business we got to meet the owner, Mario, and also this father who is the chef! If you are looking for a quality lunch/dinner option, make sure to include this place...
