this was a very precious experience for me. as we approached this place with my grandfather and aunt, we just had come to our hotel in Rhodes and had decided to go out to eat something before going to a beach. We saw Kellides which was very close to our hotel and decided to eat there. I had 3 gyros pitas and 1 souvlaki and without a joke ,not because the portions were small or anything but because i was feeling that I won’t be able to at his again in my life with these people surrounding me at this age, so let me eat for the experience.the fundamental difference between this place and any other gyro place in Greece is the pita. It’s a thin, rhodian pita that they prepare by themselves and heat up to a crispy level that makes the experience enjoyable at every single bite. And don’t get me wrong when I say that it’s the only thing that differentiates this place, It is truly different than every pita gyros I’ve ever had and I could say that it is easily the most unique and beautiful one. The quality of the meat the fundamental selection of toppings which is limited to tomatoes parsley & onions, a beautiful tzatziki and spices. The staff are very nice and very fast in service and even the lines of tourists that obviously didn’t know about this place before happily leave or eat at the restaurant in a short time.
The music also is very great, some very good old stuff. They were playing hurricane by Dylan when we arrived. Lovely...
Read moreWe visited Kellides in Rhodes based on their stellar reviews, and we were not disappointed. The workers assured us that they served the most authentic Greek souvlaki, and they certainly delivered on that promise.
The food at Kellides was simply delicious. We ordered a souvlaki platter as well as a souvlaki wrap, and both were bursting with incredible flavors. The pita, which we were told was the traditional thinner pita, was outstanding, complementing the juicy and flavorful souvlaki perfectly.
If you're looking for simple yet incredibly tasty Greek souvlaki that sticks to the traditions of Rhodes, look no further than Kellides. Highly...
Read moreWe came here twice for a quick and cheap lunch during the day which it certainly provided. We had the salmon and Philadelphia wrap twice and the Greek pizza and Margarita Pizza. It was 4.90 euro for the wrap and 4 euro for the half pizza. Both cheap prices, would say the wrap should be priced maybe a euro less, it was very good and full but in my opinion it was only snack sized for a fully grown adult and would need to be paired with something to be more filling, salmon and filling however tasted very very good. Both pizzas were good value for money, would recommend the greek pizza. We took them away to eat on the...
