Mama Mika — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Was pulled in by a guy after we were trying to find a different restaurant, fobbed us off with a story that they were run by the same family and because of the heat we just wanted to sit down so accepted. My partner ordered the gyros and I ordered a chicken caesar salad.

The gyros was okay, it was deconstructed but rather than being able to make a wrap, they served slices of pita? But the most disappointing thing was my salad didn’t have croutons and when asked about it I was simply told they didn’t have any so just didn’t put it with the dish? I’m confused on why I wasn’t told anything. As well as this, the salad wasn’t even tossed in the dressing, it was a massive slop over the top of everything so some leaves weren’t even covered.

When it came to paying, we had to get up ourselves even though there was waiters just standing around staring at us when we clearly finished eating. Honestly, avoid this place and keep walking, you’ll have a better experience at...

Don't go to this place, this is by far the worst service I got on Greek islands. It takes them forever to take your order and get you food even if you mention you are in a hurry, unless you are a bigger group ordering loads - then you'll be served first even if you arrived later. There is no menu for drinks so you don't know what you'll be paying and they definitely overcharge. Their bill is ridiculous scribbles so you'll have no idea what's written in it. The toilet is filthy. They don't accept cardscpretending there is no internet connection. And final bit - when the waiter was taking the money I asked about directions. He said he'd tell me when he came back with change. In a minute he returned, dropped the change on my table and literally walked away. Wow. The food was all...

Food was mediocre and bland. The espresso in the latte ordered was over extracted resulting in a bitter taste. We asked for the bill after our main course and the waiter spent 10 minutes back and forth serving other tables and chatting with the other waiter who only seemed to be loitering around rather than helping.

After flagging down the waiter a 2nd time to ask for our bill, we were presented with our bill and the waiter did not return. We had to flag him down a third time to say we wanted to pay via card to which he said we'd have to pay at the card machine inside (which he could have told us when we were given the bill instead of wasting more of our time)
