Unfortunately, I was shocked to see that this shop, located in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, is displaying the flag of the so-called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” — an illegal entity that is the result of military invasion and ongoing occupation of the northern part of the Republic of Cyprus.

This so-called “state” is not recognized by any country in the world except Turkey and stands in violation of international law and numerous United Nations resolutions. Displaying its flag alongside legitimate national flags is deeply disrespectful to the people of Cyprus and to those who value international legality and human rights.

As a Greek-Cypriot and a supporter of justice, I find it extremely troubling to see such symbols being normalized in Greece. I urge the shop owners to reconsider this inappropriate and offensive display, and to show more sensitivity towards such a serious and...

Lovely shopping area with alot of shops and local resturants. Shops are on the expensive side so better to buy stuff from where you can afford maybe back home. Food is excellent with different varieties.the first shop next to the Muslim Library offeds Halal food as well called Gyros good price and excellent food . This area is also called clock tower square and there is also an old Mosque along side called Sulimaneiya Mosque from 19th century sadly they dont let people enter it and is mostly locked. Behind the mosque there is a Muslim Library of Hafiz Ahmet Agha from 1973 which is excellently maintained with original scripts with garden and living areas

From Mosque of you go towards the castle then you will come across the streets of knights which is long beautiful street. Couldnot get into the castle as it was closed Overall lovely area to explore and enjoy...

Unfortunately, it felt like a tourist trap. We sat down in our first night as we were looking for something more decent in terms of prices. A waiter came very quickly and shoved a few options and here of course, we blame us for accepting but at the end we paid 50% more than what we paid at a proper restaurant. Don’t think we ordered the whole menu. It was such a disappointment. I guess my advice would be, if you visit it, is to be smarter and really check and ask questions and don’t just blindly go with their proposals - they will of course try to make more money.

The food is decent and the atmosphere is nice - nice touch with the flags too.

But all in all -again it feels like a tourist trap or at least like they would take advantage...

So we came here after being ABSOLUTELY RIPPED OFF at VELVET BAR! And wow, did Grant and Billy look after us, we had a selection of starters and some drinks and they really looked after us and let us be ourselves and have soooo much fun! I really recommend this bar as the food and service and even the drinks were just amazing. If we was here in old town every night this is where we would be! Couldn’t recommend them enough! Thanks for an amazing night!!

We were looking for a gyros pita and got caught by the sign that it was 3.50€, that price is for “take away”. To not be rude and get up, we stayed and ordered meze for 2, picture below, the food was decent, some of them were tasty. Looks like it is a family business but most of the time is empty from what we have seen in 3 nights of walking down that street, hope they had a good season until now.
