Unfortunately, I was shocked to see that this shop, located in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, is displaying the flag of the so-called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” — an illegal entity that is the result of military invasion and ongoing occupation of the northern part of the Republic of Cyprus.
This so-called “state” is not recognized by any country in the world except Turkey and stands in violation of international law and numerous United Nations resolutions. Displaying its flag alongside legitimate national flags is deeply disrespectful to the people of Cyprus and to those who value international legality and human rights.

Read moreLovely shopping area with alot of shops and local resturants. Shops are on the expensive side so better to buy stuff from where you can afford maybe back home. Food is excellent with different varieties.the first shop next to the Muslim Library offeds Halal food as well called Gyros good price and excellent food . This area is also called clock tower square and there is also an old Mosque along side called Sulimaneiya Mosque from 19th century sadly they dont let people enter it and is mostly locked. Behind the mosque there is a Muslim Library of Hafiz Ahmet Agha from 1973 which is excellently maintained with original scripts with garden and living areas
From Mosque of you go towards the castle then you will come across the streets of knights which is long beautiful street. Couldnot get into the castle as it was closed Overall lovely area to explore and enjoy...
Read moreUnfortunately, it felt like a tourist trap. We sat down in our first night as we were looking for something more decent in terms of prices. A waiter came very quickly and shoved a few options and here of course, we blame us for accepting but at the end we paid 50% more than what we paid at a proper restaurant. Don’t think we ordered the whole menu. It was such a disappointment. I guess my advice would be, if you visit it, is to be smarter and really check and ask questions and don’t just blindly go with their proposals - they will of course try to make more money.
The food is decent and the atmosphere is nice - nice touch with the flags too.
But all in all -again it feels like a tourist trap or at least like they would take advantage...
