Read moreWe love the Dubliner and prefer it amongst other shops in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the mood is always on spot. Unfortunately the food served that day, gave both me and my partner food poisoning. I really hope they're more careful in the future with how they handle food. Another thing is, the small variety of beers served. Only having one type of dark beer/Schwarzbier is kinda of a disappointment. Nevertheless, a great pub in a great area. Hope they keep making improvements.
Edit, replying to owners comment : In Greece there's a certain pattern customers follow. If the food or the service does not please them they simply do not come back. They do not leave constructive reviews for the establishment. Our own experience was that. We asked what options we had for dark/black beers and they told us there was only one. Guiness. The food gave us an upset stomach, with all symptoms and longevity of a food poisoning. We would not go as far as to give you a bad review because we felt like it. We have acquaintances that had a similar experience at your shop but simply do not bother to leave a review or come back to establishments. Food preparation is delicate and mistakes happen. It's not a blame game. Please do not take this as a "bad review" but simply as a constructive criticism....
Read moreI took the time to explain our experience to help other customers. Their answer: I am not real, the review is fake.
I described exactly what actually happened.Just plain facts. Their answer: I am not telling the truth, it never happened. Look at all the other great reviews, you must be lying.
We witnessed the behaviour of the rude owner towards his staff Their answer: You think you heard something, it's all in your head. And if somehow he was rude indeed, you don't get his humour. (And apparently, nor did the poor waiter...)
We had to wait quite a while for everything whereas the place was empty. Their answer: You are not compassionate.
All in all, all their answers are just proving my main point: NOTHING IRISH THERE !!!
1/ If you want to find Ireland, don't go to this place - this is not an Irish bar AT ALL. You won't find the Irish warmth & atmosphere. The boorish owner, as Irish as the Beatles, surely doesn't convince either in the way he talks to his staff. 2/ We ordered 2 Lagunitas: after quite some time were told there was no more Lagunitas. We ordered 2 fish and chips, one plate had two pieces of fish, the other plate had only one (of the same size). We ordered coffee (three times), it never arrived, even if the restaurant was empty. 3/ The fish and chips was tasty...
