In short, I'd rate Asian House at about 8.2/10, if that was ever an option on Google Maps. What follows is a short review in case you don't want to read a small essay: The space is a solid 9.5/10, pretty clean, pleasant to the eye and well kept overall. I'd give the staff a 9.5/10 as well, very friendly, helpful and fast Serving speed: 9/10 Menu: 8.5/10 Pricing: 9/10 Food: 8.5/10 well sized portions, though i would not favor sauce-heavy dishes such as pad thai or general tso's (more on that below) Now, onto the details: Considering the quality of the majority of other asian fusion restaurants, i can safely say that Asian House is clearly among the best, if not the best locally. Its a relief to see dishes that i can classify as actual fusion, as all the dishes i saw and tried were clearly based on the dishes' traditional style. Concerning flavors, i might have just been unlucky but both the pad thai and the general cho's chicken i have tried were overwhelming when it comes to the basic flavor of both sauces, to the point that not only did minor flavors from the other ingredients vanish but the dish was nearly impossible to finish without plenty of water(extreme acidity from tamarind on the pad thai is a good example). Aside from that, the dishes were both perfectly prepared, the textures in both of them were great and ingredients were cooked to perfection. Bearing that in mind, i am willing to bet that most other dishes are going to be an extremely pleasant experience. You are given the option of chilled tap water if you do not want to pay for a water bottle, something i can only respect and appreciate. Aditionally, when you get your utensils, you receive both a fork and chopsticks. It's a minor detail but it's simply to have both when it comes to asian fusion cuisine without needing to ask...
Read moreMy second time eating from this restaurant. Was happy to have found it in my vicinity cause i love the Japanese and asian cuisine at large. The first time it was a home delivery order. Delicious Beef bulgogi, fluffy & warm bao buns but i didn't taste, nor see the promised kimchi in it. The Phad Thai was meh,a little mediocre. I asked for some fish sauce since i don't like the sweetness of tamarind, but i did not get any. The second time,i picked up the food myself and this time it was mushroom bao bun with truffle mayo of which the smell & taste of truffle was weak but they were delicious indeed. The Buddha bowl was supposed to be a healthy version with marinated shrimps and i thought they'd be simply sautéed but they were breaded and fried instead. Unproportionally too much rice in it too. The vegetables were raw,not pickled, practically tasteless and the Ebu Katsu sauce too sweet. Overall good food but guys, you have to cut down on the sugar. Everything i've eaten so far, except for the mushroom buns, tastes so sweet that makes me a tad nauseated. This is the reason for my 3⭐ mainly. I'll give it another chance though cause i see quality of the ingredients and the potential for improvement 🙏 The portions are big, prices are reasonable too and the...
Read moreI visit this place quite often. Food is good, a bit pricey for what it offers, I liked the sushi and I also order from this restaurant dishes sometimes.
So the main problem that I’d like to say, when there’s a lot of people, service and kitchen can’t keep with orders. Seems like rush hour hits hard in this place, it was my third time when I went there in rush hour and we took our order 1 hour ago after making it. It’s not workers problem ofc it’s problem of administration who are definitely not trying to fix it. Because I took my sushi after 25 min, bao ban after 40min and ramen 1 hour. It’s not acceptable bcs by time of 1 hour I was quite full by sushi and bao so I didn’t even wanted that. Girls were running all the time, it was obvious that they don’t have time to interact with guest bcs they were only 2.
Please either hire more people or change something bcs waiting for food for 1 hour is not acceptable at all!!! And it wasn’t the first time that I experienced that...
