Tom's — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

During our exploration of local food spots near our hotel, my daughter and I stumbled upon Tom's Restaurant in Kamari—and what a fantastic find it was! Drawn in by the inviting atmosphere and a diverse selection of dishes, we decided to give it a try.

From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with a big smile by Giannis, a truly wonderful host. His friendly guidance helped us choose the perfect dishes, and his knowledge about the high-quality ingredients used in the restaurant made our meal even more enjoyable. On top of that, he shared great recommendations for places to visit on Santorini, making our experience even more memorable.

For starters, we ordered village bread and Bouyourdi, a delectable dish of baked cheese, tomatoes, and chili peppers. If you try this, make sure to enjoy it while it’s still hot for the full flavor experience! We asked for everything to be served together, so we enjoyed part of the Bouyourdi hot and the rest once it had cooled down. Surprisingly, my daughter—who never likes baked tomatoes—tried this for the first time and absolutely loved it.

The grilled bread with olive oil and herbs complemented the starter perfectly. For our mains, we had fried squid and grilled sea bream, both served with French fries and a fresh green salad. The squid was expertly prepared—fried to perfection without the tough, rubbery texture we’ve encountered elsewhere. The fish was tender, flavorful, and easy to remove from the bones, with a delightful grilled taste.

Even the French fries surprised us—they were crisp and delicious, much better than expected. To accompany our meal, we chose a local white wine.

Every bite was pure enjoyment, and we felt satisfied with both the food and the fantastic service.The price—just €42.20 for an excellent meal in a wonderful atmosphere.

An Amazing Dinner Experience!

I recently visited this restaurant with some of my relatives, and I must say — everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We ordered three pizzas, and each one was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and made with high-quality ingredients. The taste was truly fantastic.

One thing that stood out immediately was how clean and well-maintained the place was. The atmosphere felt fresh and inviting, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

The service was also excellent. The staff was very polite, professional, and welcoming. They paid attention to every detail and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

To finish off our meal, we had coffee, and it was top quality.

I cannot recommend Tom's in Kamari more. Me and my mother have been to Santorini twice now and almost a month all-together. Tom's has to be the best restaurant we have been to during both visits.

Pleasant staff who answer any questions you have, and lovely food that is as fresh as possible and tastes properly home-made. My Persian mother, who has eaten a lot of good food in her life, absolutely loved how delicious and homemade the food was. The portions are large and the prices very reasonable. Ever since we discovered Tom's, it has become very difficult to eat elsewhere.
