Came here twice. The first was ok. The guy who serve me was friendly and helpful. The bread and coffee are ok-ish. But definitely don’t match the price. Came back a second time because of the service from the first time… big mistake. The girl with glasses was rude, and looked like she didn’t want to serve me. I mean, you can see it on the picture how she carries the long face. She gave me the wrong bread, and the reason why I came was to enjoy a coffee on a proper mug, not a paper disposable cup 😡. I politely told her I didn’t want a paper cup and she still asked me if I wanted a coffe mug… why do you think I mentioned it?? She brought it and almost slammed it on the table. She didn’t bother to pour it. What I was asking was to get a new coffee without the paper cup taste. Which I told her but she walked away. I shouldn’t have paid and left, but I was in a rush to catch my shuttle bus to my next destination. If you see her in, skip to the next coffee shop. I was the only one in the shop that she serve the coffee in a paper cup. Everyone else there had a proper coffee cup. Discrimination.

It took them 45 minutes to serve us breakfast and extra 10 to bring a basic croissant with butter and jam in the side (everything was ordered at the same time). Cold scramble eggs, not room temperature, but cold like they were inside the fridge. Their beans are not beans but something dark with a weird flavour that I think it is the same ones you can get a huge bag super cheap in the supermarket. Awful papaya pure that they call “juice”. We order the coffee that was included in the breakfast and they bring us a more expensive one to charge us separately. We end up with two mugs of coffee each - the included one and the expensive one.

Cute breakfast cafe with good food and coffee, but definitely tourist prices. Service is 3 stars because I asked for a croissant and was told they didn’t have them when they were sitting on the counter, I asked for a Splenda and was told (twice) that it was already added to my coffee and it wasn’t so I had to get one myself, and I was charged a 15% tip without my preauthorization. I understand a request for 10% tip or even gratuity included for large groups, but don’t scratch out the total and add a 15% tip for yourself without asking, when you weren’t a good server, and when menu item prices are already high enough.

I went here the other day for coffee. Ordered two double cortados, Made by two different baristas. I liked the first but the second was more cafe con leche. I returned this morning for two more and they were both good.

Now for what I don't like: a simple croissant with butter and jam. On the side? No. Drenched between. I scraped away most in an effort to salvage it but was unsuccessful. Doable.

What hit me was that the waiter knew saw that I couldn't/didn't eat it, didn't offer a solution, have me the check with the total scratched off and the tip added to it!!!! Then he said it was a pleasure to serve us! I grunted.

There are lots of good coffee shops in Antigua. Move on...
