This is the place to eat in Antigua! It’s such a cute little restaurant, very cozy and great art on the walls. The staff was also very nice and patient with our broken Spanish.
To start, we had the fried chicken appetizer. It was beautifully cooked with great flavor. I had the chicken udon (make sure they give you the seasoning!) and it hit the spot. Noodles were perfectly cooked, broth had amazing flavor. My partner had the chicken teriyaki - it comes with a bowl of miso soup which was also perfect. The teriyaki had a really good, rich flavor. The sauce couldn’t have been better and the rice was also perfectly cooked. We didn’t try the sushi but the table next to us did and it looked really good!
I’m almost happy we didn’t discover this before our last night because I would’ve only have wanted to eat here. Prices were pretty reasonable and standard for Antigua as well. If we come back to Antigua, we’ll be coming...
Read moreThe food was solid and honestly good value for money. I just have high when I eat Japanese food so take this review with a pinch of salt.
The service was really good and they gave me a free miso soup which was lovely.
I ordered a shrimp tempura roll which was ok but had way too much rice, the individual pieces were way too big and I found it really strange that I wasn’t served wasabi with my roll.
I also order chicken teriyaki. It was decent but the chicken wasn’t cooked perfectly and I thought the skin was too soggy and could’ve been crispier. Also the chicken was sliced up very poorly which made it extremely difficult to eat with chopsticks. The teriyaki sauce was also a bit too sweet.
This is just me being extremely critical but I do honestly think that this restaurant offers good value for money and it’s worth bearing in mind that you realistically won’t get the highest quality Japanese food in a small...
Read moreWe were hopeful. He ordered #22Torikaraage Chicken was pieces of dark meat with gristle, fat, tendons, chicken feathers on skin. It was fried way too long and tasted terrible. Thehuge pile of shredded cabbage had a very small amount of dressing that had a nice flavor. she ordered #17 Tori teriaki don chicken if it was broiled it wasn't for long. Actually felt boiled with scrambled egg. It barely had any flavor. We were really hungry and ate about half of of the white rice with the miso broth that tasted nice. Would not recommend this place if ordering either of these dishes. We were told when ordering no noodles today. We were really bummed and should have tried a...
