Read moreI am very sorry to write this review, but our experience was quite bad. Food was great, no complaints about that. But the service?! I have never experienced this in any restaurant before. I understand restaurants wanna make money, but this was too much. We had a timeslot between 6-8pm then on of my friend was running a bit late because of her baby, but arrived around 7pm. She ordered her main, but she could not finish it. At 7.45 pm the waitress informed us that we have 15 mins left, then I quickly ordered a Babka- which I really wanted to try- but could not finish that either and my cocktail either. They could not provide space at the bar either, even though I already flagged it to them-when booking the table- we highly likely would like to stay later than 8p.m. And we were consuming. I understand restaurants do not want to accommodate people not consuming, but please- at least let us finish our food. So we had to leave the food and drink there as the next table was already there at 8.01. pm. I understand that they do not wanna host people for hours, but when we book (5 of us) a table and leave there a big chunk of money, I expect they allow me to finish my meal/drink or provide space at the bar. Or calculate with extra 30mins, or something, but I think it is absolutely an unacceptable concept and terrible...
Read moreI was genuinely disappointed with my visit here. I came with a few friends specifically to sit outside, enjoy the nice weather, have a drink, and relax. Naturally, I assumed that like most places, smoking would be allowed at the outdoor tables—especially since it’s an open-air patio with decent spacing between tables.
To my surprise, shortly after lighting a cigarette, a staff member came over and very firmly told me that smoking was not allowed anywhere on the terrace. No signs, no heads-up when we asked to sit outside—just a sudden, strict rule that completely ruined the vibe. I respect non-smoking policies indoors, of course, but banning smoking outside just feels excessive and a bit out of touch, especially when there’s no separate designated smoking area either.
For a place that markets itself as a chill, welcoming restaurant, this policy sends the opposite message. It felt more like being policed than being served. If you’re a smoker, or even just someone who enjoys the option of having a cigarette with your drink or after your meal, this is not the place for you.
We cut our evening short and won’t be coming back. Plenty of other spots in the area that know how to balance comfort for all their customers without going overboard with...
