Unfortunately the tonkotsu ramen we ate did not live up to the hype. The soup was creamy, but lacked the taste and it was utterly salty. It reminded me of my grandma’s oversalted hungarian bean gulash. But I came to eat tonkotsu ramen. I haven’t seen the making process, but the noodle that comes with the soup did not taste like it was made fresh, but more like a bit undercooked dry noodle. I don’t get the hype about the place, service is basically non existing, we need to make our order at the counter and we take our own order when it done and buzzer signals. The place is small, but not cozy, more like a fast food restaurant. Minimalistic. It’s okay. Altogether: it might be the best tonkutsu ramen place in Budapest, but quality wise it is still no where near to where...
Read moreVery disappointing experience given all the good ratings I’d seen for this chain around the city.
The takoyaki arrived lukewarm and barely had any octopus - just a very tiny minuscule piece for a lot of filling.
First ramen shop where I’ve actually run out of broth before noodles - that’s an incredible feat. The dandan had some flavor until the chili oil just made everything taste like spicy and nothing else. Only serve half an egg because apparently profit margins need to be made bigger that much.
On top, they offered us some ‘iced’ mochi… it was rock solid frozen and absolutely crystallized - completely inedible. I don’t really know what they were trying to achieve with that one. Getting rid of old product?

Read moreTried the tonkotsu. Broth is mediocre at best, on par with something you get at a 7-11. Noodles were strange tasting soba-like, not what you'd expect with a bowl of tonkotsu. Tamago is OK, slightly runnier than I'd like, but definitely acceptable, maybe 30sec off perfection, nicely marinated too. Chashu is a bit undercooked too, but the taste is excellent, probably the best part of the dish. Overall an OK ramen in Budapest, which is not exactly the ramen capital of the world... Place looks nice and cozy, tiny as a ramen shop should be. Service is excellent, friendly but polite too. Prices are a bit high, 1700¥ for a bowl is a lot...
