Buddy's Burger — Restaurant in Budapest

I went just two minutes before closing time, fully expecting a rushed or tired service — but the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Everyone was incredibly polite, welcoming, and ready to help, even though they were about to close. They didn’t try to rush us out or avoid serving us, instead, they treated us with genuine hospitality.

The food? Fantastic! The smash burgers were cooked fresh, super fast, and unbelievably tasty, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The sauces and toppings were spot on, everything felt fresh and well thought out. Honestly, one of the best burger experiences I’ve had in Budapest.

We’ll definitely come back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great smash burger....

Amazing little smash burger place downtown Budapest. They are the definition of less is more. The menu is consisted of basically 5 items and the prices are really affordable. The classic Cheeseburger and Double Double burger which is the same just with double patty. They are both juicy and delicious, love that they have fresh tomato slices and lettuce. The french fries are good too. What surprised me is how good their dessert, the Banana Pudding is. It’s so creamy, not too sweet and made with real bananas. The service is friendly yet fast. Do keep in mind that the shop is tiny, no place to sit just for takeout. If you love smash burgers, this place is a must try. Will definitely come back...

Mindenáron kerüld el! Komolyan mondom. Annyi jobb hamburgerező van a közelben. Szó szerint semmi okod nincs arra, hogy ezt a helyet válaszd. Még ha meg is akarsz spórolni pár száz forintot, nem éri meg, mert annyi jobb hely van, ahol a hamburgerek fényévekkel jobbak, mint amiket itt kínálnak, majdnem ugyanazon az áron. Még a szomszédos Simon's is sokkal jobb (miközben egy hasonló gyorsétteremről van szó, nem igazi hamburgerezőről), de ha igazán jó hamburgert akarsz enni, menj a Dr. Burger's-be. Nincs messze innen, és majdnem ugyanabban az árkategóriában van. Ég és föld a különbség. Tényleg, ezt a szemetet mindenáron kerüld el. A krumpli fagyasztott (ugyanaz a szar, amit a szupermarketekben lehet kapni), és amit kaptunk, az baromi sós volt (be sem bírtam fejezni). A sajt ugyanaz az olcsó, gusztustalan tömlősajt, amit bármelyik boltban megkapsz. Tényleg, a legundorítóbb hamburger valaha. Mindenáron kerüld el!

Avoid at all costs! I'm serious. There are so many better burger joints nearby. There is literally no reason to choose this place. Even if you want to save a few hundred forints/a couple of euros, it's not worth it because there are so many better places where the burgers are leagues better than what they offer here, for almost the same price. Even Simon's next door is much better (while it's a similar fast food restaurant, not a real burger joint), but if you want a really good burger, go to Dr. Burger's. It's not far from here and it's almost in the same price range. The difference is heaven and earth. Really, avoid this garbage at all costs. The fries are frozen (the same crap you get in any supermarket) and the one we got was so salty, I couldn't even finish it. The cheese is the same cheap, disgusting cheese curds you can get in a supermarket. Seriously, the most disgusting burger ever. Avoid...
