The vegan sour cream and cheese langos is rather bland. Plus after eating it my stomach was as upset as after eating dairy so I really have to doubt whether the sour cream was really vegan :(

The langos was very small, not even the size of the paper plate they served it on. Why would you use a paper plate for dining in as if we were attending a children's birthday and were not grown ups able to use a proper plate?! It's not as if this place was too busy to be able to put plates in a dishwasher... In fact we were the only customers on a Monday night which should really have been a warning of not dining in there.

What was really annoying is that they applied a 400ft surcharge for both the vegan cheese and the sour cream. Yes, is written on the menu that the vegan option would require a 400ft upcharge. But since the sour cream & cheese langos was written as one dish on the menu I had expected to pay the upcharge once for the whole dish and not twice for each of the toppings. So you end up paying 3500ft for a smallish bland langos which is absolutely ridiculous and definitely not...

The lángos was relatively good (considering price, area). They provide you with metal cutlery, so you don't need to use your hands if you don't want to. Much appreciated.

However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

When ordering I was verbally asked to enter the amount of tip on terminal screen (I refused to tip) which I didn't even know for what. You are given a token and when it's beeping you need to pick the lángos up yourself.

They sell Costa coffee, and my Americano was served by the cashier and, surprise, it came in a Latte cup. I'm really picky on this because I like when protocols are followed but here clearly they are not.

I was the only customer in the back terrace. When I was ready to leave, next surprise, then I realized the terrace door did not open, so I was waving my hands to the staff through the window. When I let go after a minute or two the staff cheekily noted "sorry [...] we want the customers to stay here". Honestly, I had a great time this Sunday but there is room for improvement.

Advice: pay attention to...

Late night Langos!! The langos itself was fluffy and fresh and delicious. We added fresh sliced paprika and it was a nice crunch. Not actually spicy, but there was some sriracha to squirt on the side. It was nice to be able to sit down inside instead of standing and eat like proper street food.

The only two downsides were #1, the ridiculous wooden fork and knife which just didn’t really cut or spear anything very well. #2, we ordered Greek salad because I have definitely not been getting my greens this week, LOL. The salad came out and there was no lettuce 🥬. We took it over to ask where the lettuce was and they acted like I was crazy for expecting that there would be lettuce….despite it being right there on the giant menu.

The tomato, onion, cucumber, feta, and olives were tasty, but I missed the lettuce and wished they had treated me differently.

I would come back again for langos, but definitely not salad. I probably should have...

Typical Budapestian tourist trap with extremely overpriced worthless fancy lángoses. I came from Slovakia and I know that Lángos is cheap local fast food that in our both countries it cost from 1,5€ (garlic/cream) to maximum 4-5€ with meat or smoke cheese. Unfortunately here in Gozsdu Lángos Bistro one lángos cost insane 10€. It's absolutely not worth it. It was one of the last places open until late night, so I used the opportunity to have some small meal after a whole day travelling. I expected to get amazing high end lángos with high quality. Unfortunately I got greasy lángos full of oil and very poor quality of ingredients. Cheap cheese, paprikás sauce was blend, meat cheap. Next day I woke up with diarrhea and spend whole day in the toilet. Do not eat here. You can get a million times better and cheaper local dishes in many parts of Budapest.

Gozsdu Lángos Bistro is popular only because of its prime location, not for its quality. The staff seems indifferent to both cleanliness and service speed, making waiting times unnecessarily long. The food itself is nothing special—just average, without any standout flavors or presentation. The place gets overcrowded, likely because it's in a busy tourist area rather than due to genuine demand for its offerings. Hygiene also feels questionable, adding to the overall disappointment. If you’re looking for authentic, well-prepared lángos, there are much better options in Budapest. This spot feels more like a tourist trap than a worthwhile dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re desperate or just curious.
