We had an absolutely amazing experience at Karol Bagh Restaurant in Budapest! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and ensured everything was tailored to our preferences—something that truly stood out and made our visit special.
The food was simply outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it came straight from a kitchen in India, and it brought back so many wonderful memories. Whether you’re craving rich curries, fresh naan, or perfectly spiced appetizers, this place delivers it all with excellence.
The service was lovely, the ambiance was cozy, and the entire team radiated kindness and professionalism. It’s clear they are passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail.
If you’re looking for a genuine Indian culinary experience in Budapest, Karol Bagh is a must-visit. Highly recommended for locals, tourists, and anyone craving the real...
Read moreA very mid experience. As one would say: not great not terrible. Had chicken korma, however it tasted way more like mushroom creme than cashew creme sauce. The meat was way spicier than expected. Since the staff’s knowledge of English was very limited we did not list any complaints as we knew it would cause a misunderstanding due to an obvious language barrier. The place however has a very nice setting, the staff was somewhat friendly (even though they ignored us for good first 20 minutes since we have been seated, got our order wrong and charged us 12,5% (from the overall price of our food) fee as tips, but that is listed at the very beginning of the menu).
So to conclude: Would I visit this place again? No. Do I feel like it has room for massive improvement? Absolutely. But I believe that the staff of two people for a whole restaurant to serve is sadly too few and can’t fulfill their duties. But I sure will cheer for your...
Read moreBest indian food I've ever had. This restaurant is not only delicious but truly a wonderful experience that will transport you straight to India. I went during my stay in Budapest and went back the following day as the food was spectacular and the staff could not be friendlier or more attentive. They make excellent suggestions based on your preferences and liking, so let yourself be guided by them and you won't regret it. The appetizers are amazing: I tried the chilli prawns and the lamb. For mains, I strongly reccomend their breads as they are very soft and flavourful (I tried paratha and paneer naan). I tried prawns tikka masala, lamb and my friend also tried one of their chicken dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection, creamy and super tasty, you could almost distinguish all of the aromas and spices in the dish. Also, their mango lassi is a must-try. One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had, already dreaming...
