I recently visited Matcha Island Budapest and absolutely loved it! I tried the strawberry matcha cloud and the matcha Oreo cheesecake—both were incredible. The flavors were rich and unique, perfect for any matcha lover.

The vibe of the place is super calm, with soft ambient music in the background. It's also quite spacious with two floors and plenty of seating, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The decor is cute and cozy, and the whole place feels thoughtfully put together.

The staff is young and really friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Prices range from 1,000 to 3,000 HUF for their fancier drinks, which I think is totally fair for the quality and presentation.

Definitely a must-visit if you're into matcha or just want a chill café experience...

Here the drinks don’t taste like grass, coming from someone who isn’t a big matcha fan in general, and they are also not too sweet. What I highly recommend is the Strawberry Matcha Cloud and the Mango Matcha Cloud. They both look beautiful and taste incredible. For those who prefer a stronger taste, I recommend their Matcha Latte which pairs well with Matcha Cheesecake. My first time at Matcha Island, and I absolutely loved it! Knowing the place used to be a bar, it still carries that laid-back charm — but with a seriously upgraded and refreshing twist.

The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the whole spot has such a positive, relaxed vibe. I had an iced matcha latté with coconut milk, and honestly… it was ginormously delicious!

It’s easy to see why this place is a favorite with both locals and tourists. Next time, I’m definitely trying their matcha cheesecake — it’s calling my name.
