I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt I should share my honest experience so that other travelers can make an informed choice.
I came to this restaurant as a visitor, genuinely excited to try some traditional Hungarian food after seeing all the great Google reviews. When I walked in, one of the waitresses smiled and greeted me — but then completely ignored me afterward. She didn’t ask me to wait or explain anything; instead, she kept chatting casually with her colleague, leaving me standing there for several minutes.
During that time, I noticed how differently other customers were treated. When locals or other European-looking guests came in or leave, the staff greeted them warmly, spoke with them in a friendly way. The contrast was very obvious. I remained polite and patient, but I couldn’t help feeling completely overlooked and unwelcome.
Eventually, I had to keep looking directly at the waitress before she finally came to take my order. At several moments, the staff were speaking and laughing in another language behind my back, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected.
When I finished my meal and politely said “thank you,” no one responded. I turned around as I left and saw the young female staff laughing — which, honestly, confirmed the feeling that I wasn’t being treated equally as a customer.
To be fair, the food itself wasn’t bad, but service and respect matter just as much. If you are not a local or not the “type” of customer they seem to prefer, I would strongly suggest trying another restaurant. Budapest has many great places that welcome every guest with genuine warmth and professionalism.
If the owner wants to dispute this, they are free to check their cameras between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. today — I was polite and respectful the entire time.
It’s truly disappointing that my first meal in Budapest left me...

The classic lángos, topped with sour cream and cheese, is a must-try for purists. However, the menu's creativity shines with additional toppings such as garlic, ham, bacon, and even more adventurous options like Nutella for those with a sweet tooth. Each topping is fresh and generously portioned, enhancing the overall flavor without overwhelming the delicately fried base.

Read more7.5 euros for one nutella langos. You get a perfect pizza in napoli for that price. Will never eat that visegrad slopp again.
EDIT: For a minute, I was considering changing my review to 3 stars because of the owner's reply but then i dug deeper and saw that his story doesn't check. He has a brand new business or a team with a long experience depending on which story fits better. Also, he's monitoring his staff with a surveilance camera system and I have zero respect for that big brother corporate globalist stuff. You are selling langos, not running a zero sense cubicle startup. Also, comparing your prices to pizza in Napoli is a valid argument since it's proving I can get a 1000 times better meal for the same price on a 100 times better location. Prices do matter. And yes, I like giving bad reviews so that people can avoid tourist traps...
