Very nice Mexican restaurant!
Simplistic yet delicious food paired with impeccable and very welcoming service. Not the cheapest in Budapest but the 3 for 4 taco deal on Tuesdays is well worth it.
Homemade tortilla chips and a variety of beautifully pickled onions and chilli’s are provided with the orders. you are also given a choice of an assortment of dips and sauces, some of which are homemade - all spice levels are catered for.
A particular draw for me was the selection of interesting hot sauces on each table, numbering about 10 each in my estimation, a fantastic playground for a hot sauce enjoyer - I personally did a tasting with many of the sauces and tortilla chips provided.
Out of the four tacos I tried - the vegetarian one was surprisingly my Favourite. It was extremely fresh and vibrant, as Mexican food should be. The other meat based tacos were a little dry for me, though delicious in their own right.
Well worth a visit, especially for the welcoming service and clean food. Takeaway or eat in...
Read moreI came here twice in two days. Good “comida Mexicano” can be hard to get depending on your locale in Central Europe. A clean and unassuming place with good prices, in my humble opinion. I’m a junkie for street tacos and this place does them well. Kinda bummed I didn’t know they had corn tortillas until I asked after the fact. But anyway, great shredded beef and shredded pork. I didn’t have the chicken or vegetarian option. Their salsas are great, I particularly like the salsa verde and chipotle myself. The El Yucateca chile habanero salsas are great if you want to add some heat to your selection. Speaking of selection, they have over 25 varieties of tequila from low end to premium. I had a shot of Patron for about $5.35, lol can’t beat that! They speak English here as well. Great location near...
Read moreFirst time here but won't be returning. The burrito is neither authentic Mexican, nor TexMex, or any other recognizable US variety. The meat is extremely dry verging on the inedible and completely tasteless, so are the beans and rice. The nachos are store bought and stale, the mild salsa is practically watery tomato juice. You get charged extra for ANY topping as the basic includes only meat, rice and beans (whole, not refried) so you can add another 50% for the already pricey basic burrito on top if you actually want some taste. Waste of money, not good by any standards. May be okay for a late night meal if you are completely hammered on beer and tequila, but if you want a decent MX meal give this...
