At first the waitress completely ignored us for about 10 minutes and then she preferred to serve other customers rather than us. 15 minutes waiting to be waited is a bit too much for me. Once ordered we waited another 15 minutes for a simple water and espresso tonic. And here comes my problem. This item was not mentioned on the menu and when it arrived we both were astonished at how terrible it was. We drink this beverage all around the Europe and this was absolutely the worst one so far. We didn’t taste tonic, no orange nor lime in it, coffee tasted like a coffee sirup rather than an actual coffee. Once I returned it (both of us had about 2-4 sips of it) waitress said no problem would you like something else? And threw it away. When paying she included these drinks which I found to be a joke. I’m used to a certain level of service that when something is disgusting and I return it almost a full glass then the manager should not include this in the bill. The problem was there was no one to approach other than this waitress. She clearly struggled to serve the whole terrace as everyone waited 15-30 minutes for a simple coffee. One waiter should not have more than 5 tables and she had all 10-15 of them. So for her to say: I thought it was self explanatory that you would pay for it was a bit much. As an education for the owner and the waitress: no it’s not self explanatory and manager should always be on the floor ready for such situation like this. In future please warn the customer that you’ll charge them nevertheless before you throw it out. You want customers to return to your business and we returned after 2 years because we had the best espresso tonic here in 2022. Thanks to this experience we won’t return. The rest of the order which was cappuccino and eggs...

** Original review: If you like red wine don't go here! The manager also needs customer service training. The wine was old or corked. When this was politely mentioned, the waitress quite rightly said she would open a new bottle and replace it. However, the MANAGER over ruled this and said the only way they could do this was charge us for the original glass, which was undrinkable, and then give us a a 20% discount on the new one. We ended up just paying the bill and leaving. Wow! I've never been treated like that in any place I've been in around the world. If the manager is not the owner, and the owner sees this review, please have a word with your manager that was on duty on the 19th of May 2024 at about 7.30pm, as he definitely needs to be taught how to deal appropriately with things that have gone wrong. Avoid,...

On a windy, chilly late May Monday, I ducked into Smüz Brunch & Bar just hoping to warm up—and left with one of my favorite Budapest memories.
The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, even as I grumbled a bit about currency confusion. Their warmth, along with a crisp, refreshing kombucha, helped reset my mood in no time.
But the real surprise? One of the employees is a brilliant Dalmatian—yes, a dog. Watching this spotted genius move around the café like he owned the place was nothing short of delightful. There's something magical about being greeted by a dog you weren’t expecting—especially one this charming.
Whether you’re in need of a drink, a bite, or a boost in spirits, Smüz is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back. Hopefully, the Dalmatian...
