Absolutely loved this place! We had the lamb burger and the chicken burger. The chicken was succulent, literally fell apart and flavoured so well (it's grilled which I normally stay away from), but the server recommended it and I was soo thankful for it! There were also two breasts in it, so a lot of food. The lamb burger was rich and very flavoursome. The lamb bacon was a nice touch as well. The chips on both dishes had a dusting of very tasty spice and both dishes had their own sauces which went very well with each dish. The whole meal, with a Rhubard spritz (wasn't strong and very refreshing, but I wouldn't have it again) and a Pint of beer, was around £50. Wow. Very disappointing. Worst meal in our 9 days in Iceland. Must have spilled the salt on the fries. Even the kids couldn’t eat them. Then the fish and chips was so bad. Somehow they made it taste like chicken. Way too must breading and very little fish. We must have had a different cook from everyone else. And it wasn’t any cheaper than a real restaurant. Fjárhúsið Hlemmur is hands down the best place to eat! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and top-notch service.
