What Can I say that hasnt been said already? INCREDIBLE staff, INCREDIBLE food, INCREDIBLE beer. We showed up after a massive airline issue, missing bags, day late, no change of clothes. We showered of course, then walked around the corner and saw the Star Wars VHS in the window and had to go in. We spend almost every night for the next week here. They put up with all of us EVE Capsuleers for FanFest, They were always friendly, and were genuinely excited to see me and my wife whenever we walked back in. Ardna (im not sure if that is correct spelling based on my US keyboard) was the most AMAZING! Friends within minutes, and are still friends now.

Staff never missed a beat on the Meet and Greet night for the convention, even without notice (at least they didnt know about the massive descent of gamer nerds in one night), and they were throwing drinks and food for one of the local bands the night before in a fully packed bar as if it was just a regular tuesday. Top tier service, absolutely wonderful staff, and we will DEFINITELY be coming back when we come back for the next FanFest! Love and miss...

"Babe, Babe," my ol' Dutch said to me as she delicately sipped her pint of Guinness, "you know Lemmy's band?" "Motorhead?" I said. "Well, it's not pronounced Motor-hed. It's pronounced Motor-hayd." "Is it really?" I said. "That's fascinating. Tell me why you think that." "I don't think it - I know it. Everyone thinks the name is spelled M-O-T-O-R then H-E-A-D but the last bit is actually spelled H-A-E-D. Mmm-hmm. Yep. So it's pronounced 'hayd' and not 'hed.'" "I see..." I said. "Where did you see it spelled in this idiosyncratic fashion? On one of the band's albums?" "No, in a bit of graffiti on a toilet wall in a pub I used to go to before I started knocking about with you." "Right, right... Oh, well. You learn something new every day, don't you?" "Course you do. Now why don't you go and ask that barman to play 'The Eight of Spades' on his record player?" "Do you know I might just do that, even though it might be a bit...

Loved the dive bar aesthetic but as a bar / music venue owner I have a critical eye. Music was a bit disappointing. Was advertised as "MTV Unplugged" but music didn't really fit the theme. Stage was a cramped space between booths by the bar. Large greenhouse beer garden in back which was nice for hanging out, but they close it off from the small live music area so you can't hear it. Free 90s video games around the space but some of them were broken. Huge "self service" draft beer area in the back but logistics were unclear. Was it all you can drink ? Food looked good but was pricey for simple bar food. For some reason they allowed outside food. Hope they are able to thrive as many venues in area seem to be...

Styled like an American bar, with rock memorabilia plastered around; I really enjoyed this establishment! They had a drink called Lemmys, which is a very strong ale, and despite it being strong and independent, it tasted great...which was unusual (but you certainly wouldn't want many of them!!) Toilets were OK, if not a little cramped; but the walk up the steep staircase should be done carefully if you've had a few too many Lemmys! Service was good, I waited just a couple of minutes when the place was fairly busy; and all the bar staff seemed to be happy and smiling (and appeared to "fit" in to the style of the bar. I loved it here, and the prices weren't too over the top, considering the location in Central Reykjavik!

We got into Iceland fairly late in the evening last weekend, most restaurants had already closed up for the night and we hadn’t had time to eat much all day when the closing staff @ the Hardrock directed us to try Lemmy. We’re so glad they did. The atmosphere at Lemmy was great and the food we got was off the chain, flavorful and plentiful. Perfect after a hard day of travel. I don’t know the local customs but normally in the States, people that come in near closing time are considered rude, and we make every effort to not be those people. We’re grateful to Lemmy for feeding our hungry selves so close to closing time, and giving our ears some cool music. Thank you all.

Cool place, TERRIBLE service. Of all the places I've been to this has been the worst bar service I've ever received. Both bartenders very unknowledgeable about drinks. Asked for a porter and they said they didn't have any so I got a Lemmy IPA instead which was pretty good. Then I look down and see Einstök smoked porter in stock. Had to wait 15 minutes to get it after finishing my first drink with only 3 people at the bar even though they cleared my empty glass almost immediately. Also just generally rude when I did get their attention. Pathetic and won't ever be coming back. Gave it 2 stars only because the building itself was cool.
