Yuzu Burger — Restaurant in Reykjavik

I don’t see how this place has such a high rating. Must be because of the service girl.

I went there for lunch, 15 of august, very big disappointment. Horrible food. The bun was fresh tho, but the meat was overcooked, really dry and braking in the sides, too much Of sauce, it was just running out of the burger, dripping everywhere. I ordered chilli cheese burger, but there was nothing else then taste of the mustard. And the cheese was so melted it was gone long before arrived between the buns. Fries were cooked twice, soggy with oil.

I received my burger really quick after ordering, maybe with the two minutes waiting. So it makes me think this burger has been precooked and warmed up.

I’m rating this with one star only because of the good service. Waiter noticed me right away at the door, even the restaurant was busy with many other customers, she has managed them all alone. Really quick, friendly, helpful, smiling, eye contact and all it needs in sales. Question if she can cook also and help you out in the kitchen as well, because for the food I would give...

Decent burger place in a very hip food hall. The burger and the fries were good, but a little too salty.

The service, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. The woman who took my order and prepared the food was fine. But when I went back up to get some more ketchup, and was saying something to the woman who prepared my burger, the other woman who works there, tall with a crew cut, scolded me for reaching over to get another pack of ketchup. It is located about 3 inches from the napkins which she had no problem with me taking. But she told me in the future, I should never reach “behind the counter”, even though they keep the ketchup inches from the napkins and maybe a half inch from the counter. I was hardly reaching “behind the counter“.

She can rest assured that I will never reach over the counter again to take ketchup, because I will never eat there again with that attitude. I see other people have complained about her, as well. Maybe the owner of this business...

The burger here was very tasty (I’d recommend the Big Yuzu Burger!) but the fries were a bit too salty for my liking.

My main complaint would be with the service. This was in a food hall where you paid, received a buzzer and came back to collect your food. Whilst I appreciate how hard the staff were working, it took ten minutes between my buzzer going off and me returning to the till, and me receiving my food, with several other customers seeming to have to wait a long time despite having been ‘buzzed’. The staff seemed confused but weren’t apologetic and simply shrugged and told us all to wait. I realise it may have been a tech issue, but it’d have been nice for the team behind the till to be a bit more clear in their communication; so a bit more improvement needed on the customer service front!

Still, a tasty burger if you’re happy to put up with the issues with ordering...
