My visit to Mandi Ingólfstorg in Reykjavik was a culinary highlight during my stay. Nestled in the heart of the city, the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience.
The star of the show was the Mandi dish – a generous serving of perfectly cooked rice adorned with tender, succulent lamb. The aromatic blend of Middle Eastern spices elevated the flavors, creating a dish that was both hearty and satisfying. The inclusion of grilled vegetables and a side of tangy yogurt complemented the main course excellently.
The menu at Mandi Ingólfstorg showcased a variety of Middle Eastern delights, providing ample choices for different palates. The falafel was crisp on the outside and delightfully moist on the inside, a testament to the chef's expertise.
The restaurant's ambiance, with its contemporary decor and subtle Middle Eastern influences, added to the overall dining experience. The staff were attentive, offering friendly service without being intrusive.
Mandi Ingólfstorg proved to be a standout choice for those seeking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in Reykjavik. Read moreMandi has always been and always will be my favourite place to go to dine. Though the atmosphere isn’t a perfect place it makes up for delicious food and service.
If you like Middle Eastern food you will love it. My personal pick would be “Arias Maria Chicken” it is really good and I highly recommend it. The shawarma’s are amazing, the so called “Mandi Plates” are amazing as well. The biryani is excellent and even the fish blew me away. The sauces they use are really good. The hummus is the star of the show.
What matters to me whenever I want to eat something it needs to have love and passion from the chef and server. And the hummus as soon as try it you can tell how passionate they are about their food and brand.
Every staff that has ever taken my order or served me it has always been the most down to earth workers I have met. Even though I am not hungry I sometimes just stop by and strike a conversation with...
Read moreThe service was horrendous. They weren’t even busy only one couple waiting for their takeout. My brother ordered a lamb shawarma and falafel the wait was long because the three guys in the back did not want to work. They ended up giving us two wraps in a flimsy plastic bag with a hole in it so one kept falling onto the floor. At that point didn’t even realize the food wasn’t marked looked identical I was so distracted by how he was making grabbing us an extra bag an ordeal. Like crazy he had to lift a finger move a muscle for his customer. They gave us two chicken wraps and I don’t eat meat. They just did not care. We didn’t ask for anything, utensils napkins sauce, NOTHING yet they still couldn’t get it right. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY ! The couple ahead of us probably...
