Funky Monkey home stay & river view restaurant — Restaurant in Karnataka

we had a horrible experience with Funky Monkey guest house in Hampi recently..The attitude of staffs is very disrespectful and rude which is not acceptable in any circumstances with a female guest..we had a booking with them but it was cancelled without any communication..and when we asked them to show that communication they started shouting on us ... one of them was drunk and started using slangs...then they called another 2 local men for their support to show gundagardi and that was sacry...it becomes very difficult to arrange accommodation in Christmas time at final moments... hence people expects some cooperation from their side also ...at least a decent behaviour... these kind of guest houses should be blacklisted from online booking otherwise people will be harrassed like us...we understand they prefers to give room to foreigners for...

Went here with family. Lovely setting with some nature landscaping inside and a green mountainside rocky backdrop behind the property. Some coconut trees in the plot with paintings of birds around the bases. Really good vegetarian food here. Tried different items on the menu. Friendly bunch of guys, non-interfering and understanding enough to happily customise to our taste preferences. We were all very hungry after spending a few hours walking inside the nearby Vijaya Vitthala Temple Complex ruins, and the food was finished within minutes of reaching our table.

We will definitely be going back there if we visit...

The place had good vibes. We had breakfast here. Aaloo parantha, cheese olive omlette and the cheese tomato sandwich. Everything was so yummy. The cheese olive omlette was so yummy and a total new thing for me. The staff is cordial and friendly. Had a good talk with them and they even told us about where to go next in Hampi. Moreover, it provides accommodation too though we didn't stay here. But will give this place a try next time I visit Hampi. The food costs around INR 400/- for two people sufficient enough to fuel our bodies for...
