I never thought that I would end up writing such a worst review about such a renowned food junction but few situations and circumstances led me to do so. I visited Absolute Barbecue, Park Street outlet on 13th January '23 and things started pissing me off from the start. I visited there with my loved one and I am not sure about others but I always prefer to sit on the same row with the other person rather than being on the opposite side to them. Firstly, they gave us just a mini table which was more of a centre table and told us to sit facing each other. My friend requested them to change our seat and give us a table where we can sit on a same row. Their first reply was - No Sir, all tables are booked we will see if we can change. I was a lil disappointed then. After 20 seconds, they told us to shift to another table where we can sit in the same row. We changed our seats according to their instructions, but it wasn't even 10 seconds the corresponding family behind our table demanded for our table as they are higher in masses and they needed our table too. I was totally pissed by now as this was the second table we sat. The same loop continued again and the staff informed us to take any table that was corresponding to the glass window from where park street was visible. I didn't have any problem if the management skills of the staff were up to the mark. If you are serving someone it should be your utmost priority to know the needs, likings and dislikes of your customer. Not everyone would prefer to sit facing each other and that should be absolutely okay. Also the tables we were told to sit at last felt like we were cornered from the main section. The second point that came into my notice was that my loved one was already asked after every dish/meal/food individually whereas I almost remain invisible to them and they did not bother to enquire me even for once. I was totally left unbothered by the staff like I did not exist at all. We asked them to serve us Octopus and Squid but the quantity we were served with was way tooo less than one ever expected it to be. I really liked the taste of both also as it was my wish to eat octopus and squid at least once in my life hence it tasted great for me but when for the second time I thought to ask for another serving - to my disappointment their was no staff to ask for. At the starter item we were served Chicken Keema Pav which was basically miniatures pav stuffed with chicken keema. My friend was served with two of them while I was served with one which literally had no stuffing of chicken keema. It was just a mere mini pav bun. My question is why are all the people sitting at a table not served in the same quantity and why is the food not checked before serving? The management power of the Park Street branch was zero. Where do the students of IIHM/IHM/Hotel Industries go? Why are they not hired here? Coming to the main course, there was absolutely no variation other than what we eat in our diet daily. Also not to forget, my plate was served with hair which according to FSSAI/BIS/ISO law is against the law. I myself am a student how is studying and is related to food sector hence the experience was totally unacceptable out there. Last but not the least, I visit buffets only for desserts section cause I am a hardcore sweet lover and have sweet tooth to an extreme level. The phirni that was served in the dessert section was the worst phirni of my life. It was not set in the fridger at all hence it felt more like payasum rather than payasum. The pastries that are displayed there were cut out to the extreme smallest pieces. I guess no more cutting of the pastries was left because the sizes served felt too small in size. Before ending, the food item that touched me was Moong Dal Halwa - I was in complete awe of the taste. It was the yummiest halwa I ever had. Absolute Disaster at Absolute Barbecues, Park Street – 15th August 2025 (Booking ID: 8654579)

I had one of the WORST dining experiences ever at Absolute Barbecues, Park Street, on 15th August 2025, and I feel compelled to share it so others don’t go through the same.

I had booked a table for 20 guests at 2:00 PM well in advance for a birthday celebration, trusting AB’s name and reputation (this being my 9th visit as a loyal customer). What followed was nothing short of a nightmare:

Delayed Seating: Despite booking, we were not seated until 2:30 PM, leaving 20 guests standing and waiting, which was both embarrassing and frustrating.

Zero Hygiene Standards: Forget about basic service—we waited 15–20 minutes just for water ,tissues, sauce - Absolutely shocking.

Pathetic Food Service & Mismanagement:

Prawns were never served properly, even after repeated requests. When they finally brought them, a complete joke for a buffet restaurant charging this much.

Vegetarians were completely ignored, with zero attention from the staff.

To make things worse, Basanti Pulao was served stale and stinking. Even after reporting it, the staff simply removed it from the counter but refused to acknowledge or accept the mistake. Serving spoiled food is not only unprofessional but also a serious health hazard.

Dishonest & Irresponsible Staff: One staff member even lied about being the manager. The actual manager only appeared after I escalated the issue through customer support. Shockingly, even then, nothing improved in terms of service or hospitality.

Guests Traveled from Outside the City: Some of our guests specially came from other cities to be part of this birthday celebration, and instead of creating memories, the experience turned into a humiliation.

Ridiculous Compensation: After paying a massive ₹17,000 bill, all they offered was a ₹1,000 coupon as compensation for ruining a birthday celebration and humiliating 20 guests. That’s not compensation—it’s an insult.

For a brand like Absolute Barbecues, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. It shows utter disregard for customers, poor management, lack of honesty, and no respect for hygiene or service standards.

My birthday party was completely ruined, and despite being a regular customer, I was treated with such negligence. Absolute Barbecues Park Street—you need to seriously retrain your staff, improve food quality, and learn how to respect customers’ time and money.

Considering the scale of failure and the money spent, I demand proper compensation far beyond a token coupon. A ruined birthday, disappointed guests (some from outside the city), stale food, and dishonest staff cannot be brushed aside so easily.

I am sure you love your grills and mains here at Ab's and here at their Park Street outlet was a fiesty affair that stood up tall to the expectations. Like i was not moving an inch from my table, the grills kept me busy and that's exactly what i love to do at a Barbecue buffet eating place, kudos to the team for bringing the best of the best to the table in a fresh and hot state. Now here is a thing, i usually eat non-veg grills but their veg appetizers were tantalizing to the tastebuds equally and i couldn't help but take a repeat serving with the utmost pleasure.

The service and warm hospitality is a plus point here, not everyone works on their feedback and here at Abs i see a learning attitude and the desire to up their game is what really impressed me. Every guest would appreciate that gesture to refix and let every face leave with a smile. Great going to team Abs for being so involved and attentive in every single table.
