I was here for a review, so whatever I had was on the house..

With that cleared up, let's begin.

Hangouts, like Monginis is a baked goods chain. Mass producing baked goodies on daily basis while keeping it veg.

Given the fact it's a store, the ratings exclude ambiance and service but are based on food and freshness of the good.

Food - 3/5 Freshness - 3/5 VFM - 4/5

I had a veg puff, which frankly failed to please me with its strange stuffing and comparitively bland taste

The brownie was pretty good, fudgey and dense. Went well paired with vanilla ice cream

The cupcake was a disappointment, I like my brownies fudgey not my cupcakes

The pastry I was offered, I don't remember the name, do check out the pictures to get a fair idea of how it looked. The pastry though was pretty satisfactory, not overly sweet, light filling between it's layers, but yes, you could feel the dense cake layers and they make up for a weird feel on your tongue.

To conclude..

Will I visit again? Not so sure

Why though? I prefer eggs in my baked goods. Eggs make up for eggselent baked goods. I don't understand how people prefer the vegetarian variants. But then again, each...

I have ordered a cake through zomato from Hangout cake and gourmet, and recieved stale cake which taste foul, Zomato didn't respond so I approached to Hangouts and person said please bring cake to us we will check and decide.I sent cake next day in evening after coming back from office and within 10 minutes I got a call from store that cake is perfectly fine it's not stale and taste is also perfectly fine. The guy said our staff tasted that cake we didn't find any problem. That guy said we sell daily 100's of cake and you are the only one who is complaining about it. So before ordering anything please go through reviews and not never order online through Zomato as they need 72 hours time to respond on your raised issue and store will not respond properly.

So I will say don't order from Hangouts.

This is the worst brand of cakes .... no customer care ......i ordered cake thru swiggy ..... they sent me a cake with foul smell and they spoiled my party ....... when i called them they said u call swiggy ..... Plz answer my question 1 . Was it a swiggy product 2 . Cake was delivered in mrng hours .... do u handover the cake to swiggy in night .... if no this is not swiggy 's mistake 3 . After this incident i tried to cancel my another order of cake bfor 24 hours to scheduled delivery .... they said we can't cancel ur order ...... do u make cake 24 hours prior to delivery .... if yes then u r sending a spoiled cake to customer.... if no then u should cancel the order

This is the worst brand . no customer care . Illiterate staff . Plz avoid products...
