Location: near Dada bhai naroji Road, citi bank and punjab national bank.
This is basically a Kerala cuisine, but very small place. It has got both AC and non AC in first floor and ground floor respectively. I went to this place on Saturday for a lunch,it was so much crowded that we (10 people) went for my friends treat had to wait for some time. So my advice whenever your very badly in hunger don't go for this place in peak hours, it will be crowded and u have to wait. For me unfortunately the next day I had Mumbai full marathon (scmm) so I had to eat cautiously 🙁😕. I decided to have just 2 chapathi and to taste other non veg curries alone.
Finally after a wait of 15min we got our table in air conditioned room. Since it is a Kerala restaurant I changed my mind to have either egg aapam or kuzhai puttu but for it was a disappointment, both were not there. We started to order randomly whatever we found attractive on the menu, since it was a birthday treat 😀😊😁.
Some of our guys ordered veg sadya but I don't have a clue of how it tasted as I concentrated only on non veg dishes. I got my chapathi delivered, others got parotas. Chapathi was big enough, fresh and warm.
Time for the curries and side dishes now. Beef roast : 🐄🐄 the first thing which striked on my mind on seeing the dish was that the quantity was very less in a small plate.. Taste was OK. They could have made it much Spicer.
Surmai tawa fry:🐠🐟 This is a fish fry dish, fish was big enough to satisfy a person. It was fried in a right way in tawa. The fish was fresh and I liked it.
Karimeen :🐟🐠 This is famous in Kerala and we ordered karimeen just as a tradition. A full fish will be fried n oil, but it ll have he'll lot of bones to eat. So u need to be patient to separate the meat from bones to eat. But if u ask me surmai tawa fish is better to get.
Chicken Kerala : gravy was a bit sweet to taste but still nice. Everyone liked the gravy taste of it.
Chicken chettinad and chicken masala fry: both we just OK, nothing special to mention about it.
Few things which were disappointment were : ✖️ I asked for boiled egg, they said no separate boiled. But they ll give n egg biriyani they said.
✖️ since it was Kerala cuisine, they dint have kuzhai puttu and aapam.
✖️ we ordered Pazham puri (Banana bajji), it was served n 30 seconds, which means it was already cooked and it had no warmth.
Ambience: Very small place and hence demand for seats will me more generally. But nothing special about it.
Pricing 💸💳 For the location and taste, cost wise OK, it can be accepted.
Parking : 🅿️🅿️🏍️🚗🚗 It will be a headache for 4 wheelers and sometimes even for 2 wheelers, it is inside some...

I used to be a regular visitor here and had decent experiences earlier, but today’s incident completely changed my perception of this place.
Visited with a friend and ordered something as simple as Appam and Butter Chicken. After making us wait far longer than usual, they brought Chapati and Butter Chicken instead. I didn’t travel all the way here to eat Chapati. When I pointed out their mistake, they unwillingly took it back and after another wait, finally got my correct order.
But here’s where it got completely unprofessional — I politely asked the waiter to serve the food and suddenly, a gentleman, who I assume is the owner or manager, stepped in, took a spoon, and said to my friend “Do it yourself.” I found that to be extremely disrespectful and lacking the most basic customer courtesy.
I’ve dined at several premium and even casual restaurants, and irrespective of how fancy the place is, basic etiquette like serving the customer, clearing additional plates, and ensuring the table is neat and welcoming — that’s the bare minimum. You expect that especially when you’re paying premium prices.
Sadly, this place not only fails in service but also in attitude. The same gentleman is often seen shouting at staff, creating an uncomfortable environment for diners. A few months ago, my parents even shared simple feedback about the Payasam, which wasn’t taken constructively — instead, the response was defensive and dismissive.
It’s unfortunate to see a place lose its reputation over arrogance and poor hospitality. We weren’t there for free food; we paid for the experience, and it was far from worth it.
In short — overpriced food, no basic courtesy, zero hospitality. Never going back, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who values respect and...
Read morePrior to the Lockdown this place was among the best places that served authentic keralan cusine. I was a regular to this place as we enjoyed mostly all of their seafood offering. The seafood here used to be fresh and flavorful and the quality unparallel for the price it was offered.
🔶 Lockdown visit 1:
We called them in the afternoon and decided to place the order once we reach there. The person said they were open for order but it'd be take away which is agreeable. On reaching the place the restaurant straight away denied to take order without any reason.
Have it the benefit of the doubt and readily let it go, assumed it to be one of the bad days. And our second favourite place Pratap Lunch Home was there was rescue and didn't disappoint us at all.
🔶 Lockdown visit 2:
This time we placed the order on call
2 Prawn Masala Fry
1 Chicken Pepper fry
Some appam and Kerala Paratha
The prawn masala fry was full of fish bones, I don't get why would you add fish bones to the curry. The prawn was not at all fresh and the size of the prawn was a joke. The prawn were feeling more like small pieces of rubber. And mind you they took the full price i.e ₹300 approx.
Chicken pepper full of bones and hardly any pieces.
If you can't manage the restaurant then please have the decency to shut down and not rip off your loyal customers. The appams were spoint but still you guys decided to serve it to your customers. If the owner is reading please have a look into the matter and what is going on.
It takes years of hard work to build the reputation and achieve what your restaurant has achieved. These recent events are just destroying your reputation. Attaching the picture of bill and food hope the original quality...
