Baker's cafe is a pure vegetarian bakery by Sangeetha veg restaurant. The pastries are good and in affordable price. I loved eating here. Ambience is really neat and the workers are helpful. Besides pastries, the Savouries are not that spicy or overwhelming. The taste was good and everything I bought here didn't disturb my gut. Since everything was vegetarian, I bought lots which made me happy. So, what all did I buy? Foccassia pan It is actually a type of bread with toppings like pizza and tasted really good. Felt like eating pizza and bread together. Veg spring roll Stuffings weren't spicy at all. Cabbage and onion filling with good flavor. The roll was soft and good. Cheese croissantđ„ Soft and mild crispy croissant filled with cheese and was so good if you are craving for something salty. Chocolate filled đ©doughnut Normal doughnut filled with double chocolate inside. In every bite you can actually feel the chocolate oozing out like lava cake. Yummy. Rasamalai cake pastry I always wanted to try rasamalai cake but never got chance. This was like double treat. Cake and rasamalai sweet together felt different from usual cakes. White forest pastry So good and classy white forest. Tasted like white chocolate cake. Black Forest pastry Exactly black Forest and I wished the cake piece was a bit bigger because I love black Forest Or anything with chocolate. Choco brownie Not the usual brownie but it is double chocolatey topped with chocolate which was creamy. Custard cookies I bought it because I love cookies and it was like custard eating with cookies. They do have varieties of cookies. Hoping to taste all in future. Garden veg đpizza Very calming taste. The base was soft and the pizza sauce was bland exactly the way I like. Crunchy onions, tomatoes, capsicum and olives topped with gooey đ§cheese.
Overall it's a good bakery and affordable. You can dine in or take away too. Planning to...
Read moreThis is my genuine experience today 26th feb 202 we ordered a 1kg choco truffle cake on 25th feb 2025 plain display design for kids birthday and we specifically told them. Not to give the display cake for birthday tomorrow as it will not be fresh and i went today on birthday day to collect the cake and they gave the same cake which was not fresh with a added cherry on top saying its freshly made design.
Completely lie if you are going for a display cakes for birthday then better buy from some other shop and all the manager and worker say is lie saying its fresh and the every day stock will be sold and they make it same design every day as fresh.
Better avoid this shop if you need fresh cake and never trust manager word.
Except ordered design cake and hot food no foods are fresh even the free 8 mini puff is not fresh. (Which they give for free when you order 1kg cake)
Check the cake images they used the old display cake and poured a chocolate cream on top thats bit light in colour and placed a new cherry on top.
I bought 1 and half kg all they did is took the old cake and poured a choco light colour cream on top and placed a cherry.
Check the cake chocolate cream colour difference.
One advice for bussiness owners if you are not genuine to food industry then dont sell consumer products to customer and especially food.
Manager attitude words : vangalana kelambunga no advance will be returned

This was a nice ritual for almost 4 years of engineering. I take my little cousins to this bakery whenever they visit Chennai. It's a must-visit place for me and my mother every weekend after we visit Kapaleeshwarar temple at Mylapore in the evenings.
By now, you should know I LOVE THEIR CAKES TO NO END. Whoever came up with their tea cake recipe must get a raise! It has the perfect crumbly yet melt-in-mouth texture. It's our go-to snack for evening tea at home. The cakes, especially the single slices, are slightly overpriced and I wish the management can consider changing (or, at least give discounts for 4-year loyal customers like me :P)
I'm so thankful to this bakery since all their baked goodies are eggless. Unlike regular cake shops, they don't use dalda/vanaspathi for the cream I suppose. I'm not a big fan of their puffs/ rolls as the masala isn't too appetising. Please make it better. Apart from that, I wish the management also considers providing disposable wooden spoons...
