Taco Cartel — Restaurant in Bali

I ate two different tacos and can only rate these. In summary: bad tasting, cheaply made food with processed ingredients. I would not have expected original tacos but at least some fresh and tasty ingredients. Even the taco itself was 100% bought in a cheap supermarket and had a bad texture and no flavour at all. The meat, dry and no taste. Even the gambas are better when I buy them frozen in my country in the supermarket. And in total it is not even cheap but rather expensive. For the two tacos (which is rather a small appetiser) I could get a nice main dish with fresh ingredients in a good restaurant. Two hours later I had a hard time on the restroom - my stomach was struggling with it.

I think the people who were eating in this place a taco and gave a good rating have never been in Mexico and think it should be like this and in addition have no taste at all…

We were pleasantly surprised with this place. Their menu was simple but offered a lot of flexibility and options. It was nice to be able to order a single taco and try multiple - we had the one with beans, one with jackfruit and one with mixed vegetables. The tacos come on corn tortillas which fall apart easily, but that's ok. They fill them quite a bit so ordering 2-3 is probably good, depending on how hungry you are.

I loved their hot sauce! It comes in a bottle so you can use quite a bit. Their salad bowl is also nice, but a bit on the lighter side. It has a lot of fresh ingredients though and when you add jalapeños, their ranch dressing, and hot sauce and mix it all up it's...

We had such an amazing time at Cartel Taco! The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but what really made the experience unforgettable was the incredible service from Diah and Made—they were so kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the chicken and shrimp tacos—both were packed with flavor and so fresh. The drinks were just as impressive—refreshing sangria, a perfectly mixed margarita, and fresh juice that hit the spot.
