Uno Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Bali

We had a number of pleasant surprises around Indonesia eating in restaurants, but this one was surely not one of those. The worst place we ate during our 3 weeks in this country. It has a fancy name suggesting authentic Italian meals, but I doubt there is even a single chef who has ever learned the Italian cousine. We started with fried calamari with aioli. It was the worst quality calamari ever - it was so chewy I could not swallow it. Then we sent it back to the kitchen, however the waiter said we will only get as many fresh calamari as we left on the plate (omg!). The fresh one was the same - very chewy. We sent that back as well, then we asked for a replacement. We were offered 3 pieces of grilled shrimp. The shrimp was better quality but it had no taste - they just grilled it without putting anything on it. Ridiculous. Our main meal was no better (volcano pizza). It was not tasty and the dough was not prepared well. When we wanted to talk to the manager we were told he is not there. "So who is the boss here?" "The chef, maybe?" I cannot believe this answer! It explained a lot...how could you complain about the food directly to the chef? This place is really bad, avoid it, there are dozens...

My friends and I were walking in the area looking for dinner and I convinced them to try this restaurant because I was craving Italian food. The service was alright at the start, but when I ordered a promotional pizza and one of my friends ordered a starter instead of a main, their service staff became unwelcoming and almost hostile. The gnocchi was bland and pizza dough was stale and soggy. When my friend requested for parmesan cheese for the pizza, they charged us 20k for a really small portion of cheese (about a tablespoon). The service staff rushed our payment as we were eating even though they were not closing anytime soon and sarcastically asked us a few times if we wanted to order anything else. We just felt very unwelcomed and definitely spent less than 45 minutes there. We went to another place for dessert just so that we had something nice to end the night. Stopped by here this afternoon for lunch. I had the Ravioli Di Zucca and potato wedges. The ravioli was the most disgusting pasta dish I've ever had. 7 pieces of ravioli arrived in a dish floating in sauce. The pasta was undercooked and had no flavour. The dish was so poorly presented. The potato wedges were basic and edible. The waitress that delivered my food smacked my food down in the middle of the table instead of putting it in front of the customer. Nobody came to check how the food was despite me been the only customer left in the restaurant. Two tables were occupied when I originally arrived at the restaurant. I went upstairs to use the bathroom to find staff slouching on the customer chairs ,some only woken up and some eating their own food. I said hello and nobody responded. The only time the staff were friendly was when I asked for the bill. So...
