For starters we shared 4 'quarter size' cool bay scallops that were artsy presented on folded spinach stools, over sesame spread and balsamic drizzled, topped with tiny basil leaf on a white rectangular plate. I liked it. She had the petite Tasmanian salmon. Skin was a bit crispy tho the thick slice was evenly cooked. I ate the Greenland halibat. Both were served warm. (these were lunch cuts instead of dinner size portions considering the price) Those few heaping tablespoon bites were fresh tasting and standardly delicious. I requested how I wanted it cooked. I prefer lemon squeeze, pepper, & paprika while sizzling pink salmon ala plancha. I also had hoped for pan sautee whitefish with lemon & blackpepper season sprinkled atop. But Neither cooking style Showdup. No flame grill option either. I don't know if it was managers miscommunication or chef's inability, yet still their ordinary way was good enuff. Everything I ate was pleasant. If I knew though that the small sizes were ala carte I would've ordered sides. I figured rice or spuds or mixveges shouldve been an automatic addon. My Mustake, tho I Did inquire to Mgr, about preparation first as I wanted it. Next time I'll try omaha beef there. I score this dining experience 8.75 of 10. My own 12 y/o Carneros Chard was decanted expertly by GM Michelle. (it had to be done since the cork grumbled as he saved my superb 90+ vino.) My wife's hot ginger tea pleased her. Read moreI recently attended a friend's birthday dinner here and, while the overall experience was enjoyable, it had some mixed aspects. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The receptionist downstairs was very friendly and guided us to where we needed to go. Once upstairs, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who guided us to our table. The view was breathtaking and the ambiance was perfect, creating a rare and memorable experience. However, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. We were drawn to the restaurant because reviews mentioned an average cost of 200-300k IDR per person, but to our surprise, the actual cost was 500-600k IDR, nearly double what we anticipated. The portion sizes were also disappointing. For instance, we ordered fries for 80k IDR and only received 22 pieces, which seemed unreasonable given the price. Despite these drawbacks, the excellent service and beautiful views helped make up for the disappointment. At the end of the day, they should definitely consider increasing the portion sizes to better match the price and...
Read moreHad a birthday dinner with my girls here. They gave me what I think one of their best table beside the windows, facing down to Bundaran HI. And the food, to my pleasant surprise… Every dishes that we ordered were delicious! T-Bone was cooked to perfection. Opted for wasabi butter and truffle kombu to complement the steak and it was not disappointing at all. The side dishes; Dry Aged Fries, Creamy Corn & Truffle Mac N Cheese… all delicious. The Altitude Burger was perfection. And, everyone was so warm & hospitable. The view was magnificent and I saw a plane was about to descent at Jakarta Airport from one of windows as I was sipping wine, amazing! Thank you Altitude.
Note: You need a deposit of IDR 500k when you make a reservation and it’s non-refundable. The only slight inconvenience that I experienced here was when given the bill, they only listed my deposit as 500k when in fact I had IDR 1 mio stored earlier. Glad I looked at the bill twice and they void the payment right away so there was no waiting time to get the rest...
