My #1 go-to halal ramen in town! We’ve ordered quite a feast in Hokkaido-Ya. For starter we had Age Gyoza which was so good, we even finished it before our mains arrived.
We also ordered 2 types of ramen, the Spicy Tantan and Shoyu Ramen. If you love spicy food the Tantan are definitely going to be your favorite. The broth was thick and rich full of flavor with generous amount of topping. Shoyu Ramen was on the sweet and salty taste but it was so delicious we gulped down both of our ramen empty to the bowl :9
We also had the Gyudon with Butter Rice, if you prefer rice then this is your menu to chose! Butter rice was so perfect with the beef.
For the yakitori we ordered quite a few of their favorites, also they have 4 choices of sauce but not applicable to some of the yakitori. We recommend the salty and black pepper sauce with Momo, Negima and Chicken Skin yakitori.

Read moreHokkaido-Ya, part of the well-established Sushi Tei group, offers a delightful selection of Japanese comfort food at affordable prices. While they don’t serve sushi, their menu focuses on rice bowls, ramen, and yakitori, all prepared with the quality and taste expected from the brand.
The food is flavorful, satisfying, and well-portioned, making it a great option for those looking for a hearty Japanese meal without overspending. The service is another strong point—quick and efficient, with friendly staff who make the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Whether you're in the mood for a steaming bowl of ramen, a comforting donburi, or perfectly grilled yakitori, this place delivers on both taste and value. A solid choice for an affordable and satisfying Japanese...
Read moreIt was random pick, sceptical even. BUT It was surprisingly good!
F&B 4/5 Food was great, gyudon was great, salmon mentai was great. But the main surprise was yakitori, chicken thigh, Shitake mushroom and beef Enoki roll was all amazing.. Miso soup was also great. Beverages was also great, iced lemon tea was good, lemongrass was amazing.
Ambience 2.5/5 Lighting was too bright, table positioning was rather "blocking" due to the condiment table in the middle, making the place feels smaller.
Service 4/5 Great frontline guy, speaks clear and loud without screaming, earnest looking and eager. Not so much for the rest, but not bad either.
Price vs worth 4/5 Come here for the food, none other. As long as you try to enjoy the food, this place is great. Average price is 80-120k per person for FNB.
Overall it's 3.5/5 but I would recommend this place for you who...
