KempiDeli — Restaurant in Jakarta

I am a patron who have often visited before the renovation. In the past, they have made mistakes that I can ignore. However with the current opening and renovation, I expected new management and better service, but I was wrong. It took them so long to seat me, so I seated myself, did not clean the table so I went ahead and wiped it myself. During our visit, there were a few times, It took so long to call a waiter to our table, even after they saw us. To their credit, at least the food did not take too long, still they tasted par, along with their coffee. The table was small, but no one came to clear plates until after I complained. Even then no apologies, instead they made an excuse of the place being crowded, ok I get it, but I can tell how they were being classist as well by how they serve other patrons. Not impressed. Also, you can tell how they do not care about reviews by looking at how they gave the same template response even to complaints given by...

Why why whyyyyy everything is changed 😭😭😭😭 this used to be our favorite sunday european cafe with exquisite pastries and unique drinks - ginger latte, choco berries, berries danish. But now after renovation, this has turned into JUST another regular expensive cafe... It has completely lost its european personality, the interior, the vibe, the lighting, the drinks and pastries and other menu have downgraded into any other cafe's, im dumbstruck and heartbroken today 😭😭😭... Goodbye to another beautiful european pastry cafe. You may gain more gen Z customers, and im just grateful i have had the chance to taste your original taste and menu.. but it's just too sad to see it changed into another modern cafe....

Edit : tried their new watermelon tea and hazelnut latte... awful, just god freakin awful... just watermelon syrup, and hazelnut latte...

The worst cafe ever. I’m extremely disappointed with Kempideli’s service, especially considering it’s part of the Kempinski hotel group. First, I ordered the last pretzel on display. Ten minutes later, I was told it had been sold to another customer who came after me. The cafe wasn’t even busy, yet I wasn’t served promptly.

After the pretzel was gone, I changed my order to a black sesame bagel and asked for it to be heated. The waitress agreed, and I waited 30 minutes. The bagel only came out after I asked the waitress again and it was served cold.

I’m very disappointed with the service and the staff at Kempideli on July 10th, 2025 around 8 PM. I hope they improve and no other customer has to go through the same...
