Warung Leko Grand Indonesia — Restaurant in Jakarta

the service is very nice & friendly. the place is cozy, it easily adds to my list of wfc lists in Central Jakarta.

tried some food: pisang goreng cokelat 8.5/10 very cripsy outside but still moist in the inside. the only thing to improve is not to let the pisang goreng becomes very oily before serving. other than that, its very tasty and affordable

It's quite spacious and not as crowded as other restaurants, they serve Indonesian menu specialized in sambal penyet menu variants. I ordered iga bakar penyet, tempe bakar penyet sayur asem and es dawet nangka, the iga bakar is good, the meat is easily plucked out from its bone, the tempe though is not my favorite, it's too thick, so it's kinda tasteless in the inside, and the quality is in question, kinda left sour aftertaste. The sayur asem is nice, fresh, typical Betawi's sayur asem. The dawet is actually good, the jackfruit (nangka) felt fresh though I guess they freeze it, the cendol though, they use the frozen one and not defrost it properly, so the texture is quite weird, overall their menu is quite tasty but the quality of the ingredients itself can...

this place is located inside grand indonesia building, on the 5th floor, east mall. it's near the escalator so it's convenient to reach. the staff is friendly. you can order, call the waiter, or pay by ringing the bell provided. they have mixed of traditional and modern interior.

they mainly sell beef ribs, although they have other selections like fried chicken, fish, soup, etc. i like the empal penyet menu. the meat is tender and like the crispness from the frying.
