A newly opened restaurant. Located on fifth floor on West Mall (previously was occupied by KFC). The interior of the resto is really elegant with strong Bali theme. They also play traditional Bali song. All in all the place is what the millennial will called : Instagrammable!
Some of the dish that I tried :
Betutu Gianyar Duck : The duck portion is large, the seasonings and spices were oozing to the meat, with additional betutu broth. Super tasty
Chicken Satay Plecing Denpasar : One of the signature menu. Consists of 5 pieces of satay, the taste is spicy and unique.
Duck Satay Lilit : 5 Pcs of satay, with "matah" and mbe chili. Great taste, spicy but makes you want more.
Sasak Chicken : Originally from Lombok. The taste is unique with mixture of tomatoes and shallots. It is 1 chicken that was cut in small pieces.
Betutu Chicken : I think almost everyone already know this dish. Signature from Bali. The broth was plenty, it is very savory. The chicken is tender and juicy.
Grilled Rice Cakalang Sanur : It is rice with shredded Cakalang fish. Full with spices. Spicy, but really good.
They provide free keropok for guests, also guarantee No Pork...
Read moreMy husband and I went here on a Saturday night, because we noticed that this is the only place without a waiting list. Sadly, now we know why.
The service was meh, the waiter didn’t know much about the dish when we asked about it and he couldn’t even speak clearly to us. We noticed that only 2 of the waiter was on stand by while the others was busy chatting with each other near the kitchen table.
The food? Terrible. Ayam betutu tasted like a weird spicy bland water. It was rich by color but definitely not by taste. For the Bebek Goreng, the meat was HARD. Shouldn’t a duck dish be a balinese restaurant’s speciality? Shame. Thankfully not all of the food we ordered was bad, the Tempe Mendoan was enjoyable, and the Sate Ayam as well but kinda dry. Maybe it was just an unlucky day for us that the main course was terrible.
Finally the drinks, we only ordered 2 drinks with oranges on them, and both tasted a bit bland, but still kinda enjoyable.
Overall 2/10, wouldn’t come back...
Read moreTried their main specialties menu: Nasi Bali Mbok Jegeg, Nasi Goreng Taliwang, Tahu Tempe Platter & Sambal Platter. For me, their food were just okay. I don’t recommend their Nasi Goreng Taliwang, not worth the money you pay, in such a pricy restaurant. The rice was mushy and their taste was plain, fortunately I happened to order Sambal Platter, which was a truly palate saver. It consists 3 different kind of sambals: Sambal Matah, Sambal Mbe & Sambal Bajak. I hope they could improve their Nasi Goreng with Fried Egg and garnish it ugly appearance with lettuce, diced fermented carrot and shrimp crackers. Their Nasi Bali and Tahu Temple Platter (Fried Tahu/Tempe, Bacem Tahu/Tempe) were just ordinary. Their service was good and their staffs were friendly like other people said on the reviews. The lighting and resto...
