Only music is good in this place. An officiant woman is not friendly. She try to leave without listening to all my order after I speak I don't drink alco. Coffee brought without a saucer and with a coffee suspension. A cassier took away my bank card behind a bar counter. I ask to show me the card. Only after 1 minute she talk the card is not ok. I ask to show me the card. When I dont see my card she can use scrimmer. Why I should trust her? I insist to pay by card and the cashier try to use other cardreader. One more time she speak me, my card is not ok. I ask to show me and I see the 200 million rupies on the screen. What??? 15000 USD!! She didn't apologize, my officiant didn't apologize. Bad place.
Addition: I am living in Bali and without your place my rest will be best. Yes, I paid only 195000 rupies, but all my story is true. Your cashier tried to take 195 milion and I am happy I used the card with little balance. I read other reviews about your service in tripadviser and I regret, I didnt read it before to come to your place. I wrote so many reviews and all my reviews before was 5. It is my first 1 review.
Read moreI only visited during the day and it was in some ways amazing and in some ways really not. The pool is beautiful - it's huge and warm and clean and you can pretty much have it to yourself. I loved this as an escape from the busy city - it's truly a hidden gem with a lot of potential. The staff is friendly, but the service is NOT GREAT, and the "rules" about minimum purchase, etc are extremely inconsistent and really really frustrating.
I was excited to learn on my first visit that I could rent a towel from them, but when I tried to do this on my next visit there was so much confusion and hassle over this that I just brought my own going forward. Be careful about bringing water - it might be taken from you, which feels unfriendly. The food is just okay. I ended up not ordering on my next visits because the flies were so bad.I was never clear on how to get on the wifi.
For the owner/manager: Your staff needs training!! They are not only inconsistent, but you can tell from the way they interact with guests that they don't know what they're supposed to be doing, which made for a really uncomfortable experience for me as your guest and I imagine for them, as your employee! The music is ridiculously loud, making it hard to relax and have a conversation. This made communicating with your staff even more of a challenge. The shower head is really dirty. My first time there, the shampoo and body wash containers were due to be filled. By my last visit they were empty. So in a week no one ever filled them. The tables are also dirty. Maybe staff could at least wipe one off before serving food? Honestly, I think you should charge for admission and provide a towel and a bottle of water so the three topics of minimum purchase, bringing my water, and getting a towel become non-issues. Plus, your staff would know what to do. It might actually help attract customers because honestly, I was a little hesitant to visit knowing it was "free." Your signage is not very visible and your place was hard for me to find, and even then I didn't think I was in the right place because it doesn't match your daytime club branding. Walking down the long hall and into the front part, the club area, I still felt really unsure and confused.I could go on with more details but I'm not sure if this will get to the right people.I really think you have a niche in Ubud and a beautiful space. I would love to see it reach its potential. I'm happy to bounce back ideas with you...
Read moreI have been visiting Bali for many years, always staying in Ubud and CP lounge has always been a meeting place for cool people from home and abroad. We spent several New Year's Eve evenings there. Now Now, because of Covid, among other things, we haven't been here for the last few years and when we came back this year, we were surprised how empty the place was, which is now very chic but very western. The prices are so high that no Balinese can afford it anymore. The shop only had approx. 1/4 of its former visitors on New Year's Eve! Another case of western investors taking over shops etc.!
While tourism in Bali has brought more money, a lot of the time it only benefits the owners – who are often foreign. Staff of these big companies are typically not paid that much, and most of the money goes into the wealthy owner’s pocket, who may be from Britain, Australia, the US or any other country – generally a wealthier one than Indonesia. This means that the impacts of these businesses to the Balinese are mainly negative – business is taken away from local competitors, land is taken up, and prices are hiked up for locals.
I was defintly there on NYE 22/23...and I brought 5 people with me.
As far as your staff told me, a Netherlands Woman overtook it 7 years ago...so its not the same..Swimmingpool was before also not there...Each of us paid 200 K and received a voucher in return, to be redeemed exclusively for cocktails. There was live music and only directly in front of the band on the dance floor some guests were gathered dancing. No comparison to the atmosphere of the years before
Moreover, there was nothing to book. We came in around 11.30pm, normal box office with stamp on the back of the hand. 3 other friends were already inside, led to your location by exactly this link on Google, on which I left the reviews. There's no mistaking it! The place is near the football field, spacious inside and equipped with pool tables, a separate bar where you can also dance, etc.!!! You don't even offer Bintang beer - Indonesia's most popular beer - anymore. Instead, you now have St. Miguel from Manila
Even on TripAdvisor its described that you guys are not ready to let come in local...
