L.O.L Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

If I could give 0 stars I would. Apparently it is normal for a double vodka soda water and lime to cost £10. When I questioned this all staff and managers were rude. One staff said you should of looked at the menu. The menu was not presented to us when we wanted to order. I am a bartender, I understand the costs of a drink. It does not make sense when a martini with the same amount of equally high in quality and percentage alcohol costs the same as a double vodka. The staff were ignorant and rude. They were aggressive towards me a women. And said no one else has had a problem with this before. A quick look on trip advisor and google reviews would prove this to not be the case. When I decide to pay the bill. Amongst all the laughter of the staff. I was told by the women behind the counter unprovoked to not come again. When I made my way to the door I was then recorded. As if I was being aggressive or somehow in the wrong. I then walked out and got talking to people outside who say that this is always the case the staff are aggressive and rude the drinks are expensive and the place is run down. It’s a shame because we were having such a lovely night. And I would never want to come across as a cheap skate. However I will not be taken for an idiot and taken advantage of when “drunk”. Avoid this place at all cost. Instead walk down the road two minutes to blue door where the staff are friendly and kind and the drinks are reasonably priced. I would never usually be one to write a google review but as I am in the streets distraught because of the staffs behaviour towards me I felt compared to share my experiences for the sake of other...

!!! WARNING !!! WARNING !!! WARNING !!! A “professional” scam. 4 persons same round whole night. Round 1 of drinks (1 Cuba Libre + 2 beers + 1 Mojito) 1.50.000 IDR + 60.000 IDR tips 1$ per person.

Round two 2.00.000 IDR. Round 3 - 3.00.000 IDR , Round 4 - 3.50.000 and so on + tips.

Of course we arrived @LOL in good mood from another place.

You come to Bali, expect to feel safe & treated with respect at least by the official institutions, Hotel/Restaurants/Bars which in deed are a general reality except LOL. If including bars exploit tourists without a minimal dose of shame what else do you expect from Bali? Be cautious & watch out not only at the scammers on the street including the service stuff @LOL is f.u.c.k.e.d up & performing on basic archetypal instincts as survivor mode exploiting drunk/good feeling tourists & without regrets putting pressure by printing fake bills & gathering of stuff around you if you raise concern towards bill. In final you doubt yourself remembering the Gods offering at the entrance & decide to trust the owners of that business + stuff. Very bad idea. In final you doubt your own IQ level which after a few rounds is anyway at lowest level :) If you want to party avoid LOL. You might wake as I do now writing this review & questioning yourself or assume & enjoy your hangover with another couple of drinks.

If I were rating this bar purely on the live bands, it would be 5 stars! They are fab! However, whilst this bar can have a good fun vibe, we came here a second time for a couple drinks and the band, only to be shocked by the bar staff who continued to serve a lone female who was way over the limit, potentially on something or even meds (we have no idea). But she was clearly over the limit (or had potentially been spiked!), she could barely stand, she kept spilling her drink as it wobbled about in her hand, she couldn't speak and she was extremely vulnerable. We asked her a couple times if she was ok and if she'd like us to help her get a taxi home. Sadly, she said 'thanks but no'. So I approached the sever who was serving her and asked him to be more responsible and to stop serving her (and happily taking her card to charge her!). I also asked him to watch over her and to ensure she got home safely, as unfortunately, we had to leave. Yet, only 2 minutes later, after that server actually got annoyed with me for asking them as a bar to be more responsible, he served her another drink! We have no idea if she got home safe or not and it's an awful feeling to have lingering in your mind. It's not right that a bar venue continue to serve their clientele at such an extremely intoxicated state - especially when they're alone -...
