Was quite underwhelmed, I only ordered the slider but not sure why it was labeled as "burger" in their menu. Couldnt say anything about the rest of their food. Ordered the higher priced slider/ so called burger with Indonesian twist and taste thinking it would be the best but it was so bad and have to force it down, there were a few chunky cheap piece of meats that should not have been there, the bitter cassava fries does not go well with the dip which looks fancy but a total mismatch. One of the worst slider hands down, try it and you might write a far worst review than this.
Had sliders before in countless hotels, restaurants all over the world including from famous and not so famous ones, this is really the worst so far! Try it and you will see what I mean. Staff and ambiance are very good but you"re here for the food.
UPDATE TO THEIR REPLY: Put a home made ciabatta bread with Balinese sambal Kluwek on a Shake Shack burger, make it into a slider and it will still be 100 times better. Guess Spice wants to compare theirs with Mcdonalds... too bad can't take the heat of my previous feedback and writes a reply making Mcdonalds their competitor.

The menu pays homage to Indonesia filtered through the inventive mind of Chef Blake — a gastronomic dreamscape of bold ideas and delicate precision.
Highlights? Plenty.
Kingfish with pomelo and rujak sauce — sharp, fresh, electrifying. Absolute wizardry.
Black Cod with starfruit and pepes spices — majestic, layered, unforgettable. A showstopper in every sense.
Desserts flip the script entirely: an “experimental” tempe cereal with kemangi marshmallow and almond milk, presented like a childhood breakfast box — a meteorite of flavors, playful and profound. (The elusive pineapple cake with smoked cardamom ice cream will have to wait for next time — the only heartbreak of the evening was not having space left.)
Verdict: Spice is more than a restaurant. It’s Ubud’s latest culinary oasis — playful, daring, and...
