This place is one of my favorite place to eat whenever I visit Ubud.
Why? First, because it is Halal π The owner is muslim and they have Indonesia Halal Certificate that you can see in the restaurant. The restaurant that has Halal certification is not many in Bali except if you try to find small warung or Javanese and Padang Restaurant.
Second, They have a delicious cheese burger and chocolate milkshake! The most recommended menu you need to try! I tried also Double Cheeseburger, French Fries, Brunch Burger, Chicken Burger, Grilled Chesse Sandwich and Mushroom soup. But still the Cheeseburger either single or double is the best! The beef is imported from Australia. The other things that amazing is the unlimited sauce you can use for your burger π€£ On the table you will find ketchup, spicy sauce, and mayonaise for you to add to the food! They use paper straw for the chocolate milkshake, nice job for the environment!
Third, it's simple and small restaurant, not busy with so many people, make it less waiting time to enjoy your food. The best spot is the first floor with the table facing to the street. The first floor only fit up to 10 - 12 persons while the second floor fit up to 15-17 persons. If you choose the second floor, you need to pay upfront and grab the food when the food ready. Don't worry, they have the alarm device to call you from the kitchen.
Fourth, They have a small prayer room with the ablution place make it a perfect place to have meals without missing your prayer especially for muslim in Bali. Enough for around 6 person. They even prepare the Sajadah and Sarung for you to use and a Qiblat direction sign. No more reason to miss your prayer!
Fifth, super friendly staff! You can request any adjustments to your burger like removing the vegetable π if they are not busy in the kitchen, you can have a chance to talk with them! Usually they have 3 Staff, two in the kitchen and one at the cashier π
Tips: Don't use car. The closest car parking lot is around 10-15mins from the restaurant. Better to walk or use scooter. Don't bring big group. As they just have small table for 2-5 persons. They have vegetarian option! Better to use cashless payment π€ Oh they have toilet and also sink, don't worry π Don't ever think to do anything weird as they have several CCTV to see your silly face!
Last think, thank you for your kindness service and good talk and good food. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our every visit to you place! All the best for the restaurant and the...
Β Β Β Read moreThe hamburger is perhaps the most ubiquitous of food items across the planet. Its place in world history is arguably more important than the invention of penicillin. Indeed more have had hamburgers than penicillin unless in a region predominantly occupied by veggie-tards. Its cultural significance is beyond any doubt. Miley Cyrus has a penchant and Elvis also expressed more than a liking. The list of fans goes on.
I ordered a trebble cheese burger from Halal Burger. The delivery arrived at 10:38PM from a Grab Delivery guy to my hotel in Ubud, Central Bali. As the package was transferred to my hand, the weight was immediately noticeable. Upon opening the box there stood before me a behemoth!
Toasted buns were revealed as were the patties resplendent with melted cheese in between the three thick and juicy beef patties. The gravitational pull made the burger lop sided. This structural deformation was added to by the low friction co efficient between the patties due to the melted cheese which was replete throughout the burger. Ketchup with fried onion and pickle was also visible.
On lifting the burger the challenge before me really became apparent. The absence of a handy maxillofacial surgeon meant that lower jaw dislocation was out. I would have to take this on, bite by bite.
On the first bite, I was able to get some of the top bun, cheddar and some of the top patty. On the palate the there were notes of cheddar which was sharp tasting and delicious, and ketchup with some pickle added a tangy zing. The patty had all the greasily satisfying splendour one would expect if one was in heaven and ordered the 'devine holy special burger'
As I chewed I did not realise that I had only lightly masticated the first bite before I was already sizing up the next angle of attack. Almost like the burgers gravitational field was pulling me in again. This was going to take skill, dexterity and hand eye coordination to achieve this task. But I was up for it. Oh yeah! The swallow was reasonably effortless helped by the fat content. The combination of carbs, refined sugar, salt and fat hit all the taste receptors at once. And boy did it taste good.
Seldom has the genius of the hamburger been so sublimely rendered as is the case with the Halal Burger. A must try...
Β Β Β Read moreNice and quaint casual halal dining. I dined in here three times during my short stay in Ubud.
They did not go low on the quality and taste of their food here. Not a long extensive list of menu but enough to make you feel curious to try them all!
The Green Chilli Burger is awesome! The fresh and finely cut green chillies elevated the taste and experience with that crunchiness when you bite into it. The well seasoned beef patty is delectable!
I tried the Beef Cheeseburger with fries (it does not come in a set so you need to order them separately). It is a classic burger and I so love the sweet caramelised onions sandwiched in the stack. Apart from their specialty sauces like the mustard, all other basic sauces (chilli, tomato and mayonnaise) are in a squeeze bottle at the table).
The fries with skin on is not from a bag, from the cut, I can tell that they were prepared in house.
The Fried Onion Straws can be quite addictive and maintained the crunchiness. Itβs a better version of the classic onion rings.
If you are looking for a no frill dining experience and great burgers, do come...
