*P. S pictures are from DADA’s restaurant who provided an amazing service after being disappointed by Alfie’s** -At Alfie’s, we had the worst service from supposed manager Johnathan, Carlos and Simon. Visited for a pre-booked birthday with my parents, siblings and some friends. This was one the worst service I’ve ever experienced. On booking, we had informed them that we needed a long booking. We were not informed that the booking was just for two hours. Booked for 7pm on a Saturday. Deposit and all paid. -Arrived with a party of about 20 plus guests, guests arrived from 6:30 pm, were ordering drinks. Food Menus were not brought to the table guests who arrived from 7 onwards. Around 8pm, waiters started rushing guests to order food because they had another reservation in the area at 9pm. Reservations team never informed us that the booking was only for two hours. We were under the impression that we had booked ā€˜till late’’. We were rushed to order food which everyone did. -We were being served by the upstairs manager Carlos or Jonathan who was extremely rude to guests, poor body language, rolling his eyes at customers. They eventually took everyone’s food order by 8.20 pm and a few moments later, we were informed that they had cancelled everyone’s food order at the discretion of the upstairs manager Carlos because he was asked by one of our guests why he was being so rude to us. We asked severally why our food order was cancelled but no one gave us any answers. Carlos disappeared and was no where to be found after asking several waiters and manager Simon. No one knew his location. The downstairs manager Simon was asked to get Carlos to speak to us and explain why the food order for over 20 people was cancelled. He ignored us repeatedly and could not provide any resolution. There was a language barrier with communicating with Simon as all he did was shrug his shoulders and saying he does not know and was unable to provide any answers or the irrelevant person responsible for cancelling everyone’s food order. We even tried to ask other waiters of Carlos’s/Johnathan’s whereabouts, they obviously had no conscience or mind of their own because manager Simon pointed fingers at one of the waiters and said ā€˜do your job!’ In such a rude manner even I couldn’t believe how he was speaking to his own staff in front of customers. -Carlos went into hiding and was not seen again during the night. As managers, they collectively have no people management skills. Almost ruined our night but we took ourselves to another nearby Moroccan restaurant called ā€˜DADA’ nearby who were able to manage a big group effectively and had the most amazing time at Dada’s for my sister’s birthday. P.S pictures are from Dada’s as I can’t sing enough praise of how amazing the food and service was at Dada’s. Service was super quick, waiters were attentive and friendly, more space (Alfie’s was like being inside a tin of sardines) they even sang happy birthday and gave the birthday girl a complimentary cheese cake at DADA’s. I would highly recommend DADA’s

Went to Alfies for dinner, food was just OK. Had beef nachos and loaded tenders, tenders were covered in hot sauce which took away from the actual tender. The loaded beef nachos... Weren't loaded at all, was a small ramikin of nachos with what looked like a little dish of lasagne with barely any beef, was basically a pile of melted cheese... And for €12.50, not worth it at all. I would go for the vegetarian one if I was to go back. We sat upstairs down the back near the loo, it took at least 10/15 mins for the drinks to come, understandably some of them were cocktails but others were just pints and they still took ages, any of the drink orders we made took a really long time and the last couple we ordered before leaving they forgot. whilst sitting there we noticed the roof leaking onto our tables. It was mopped up and a bucket put beside us, We were moved into the dining area only after we asked to be moved which was fine, we left straight after the meal as the staff seemed really overwhelmed for the crowd that was there. The drinks were very overpriced and when the bill came out, it was wrong too, we had to go through it and explain some of the drinks had already been paid for. The staff really tried their hardest and we're friendly and lovely but seemed run of their feet. Don't think I would go back in a hurry to be honest. Disappointed

Our visit to the cocktail bar left much to be desired. While the ambiance catered more towards younger adults with its attractive lighting and decor, the service fell drastically short of expectations. Empty glasses from previous guests cluttered our table for over an hour without anyone bothering to clear them. However, the most alarming aspect of our experience was witnessing the bartender's flagrant disregard for hygiene and food safety standards. The bartender handled everything with his bare hands – from fruit garnishes to moving ice around the glass. What was most concerning was when he poured spirits; he would grasp the bottle with his unwashed hands, allowing the liquid from his hands/fingers to drip into the cocktails as he poured, all the while accepting cash from customers without taking a moment to wash his hands. In summary, while the cocktail bar may offer a visually appealing atmosphere and good music, the subpar service and concerning lack of hygiene practices make it difficult to recommend to others.

My friends and I had booked a table for 8 for some food and drinks and to exchange secret Santa gifts. There was many things that went wrong. Firstly, the waiter never really wrote down anything, just made us repeat our order 3/4 times. This lead to my friend getting a pinot Grigio glass of wine instead of a mojito, myself getting a chicken ceased salad without chicken, my other friend getting sweet potato fries instead of sweet chilli sauce. Even when this waiter got the order wrong, he seemed to get annoyed and frustrated with us saying ā€œbut that’s is what you orderedā€. Two of my friends then ordered a vodka, soda water and lime and they only used half the soda water in their drink. The waiter came back sometime later and was rushing to clear up the table, grabbing the dishes and leaning over us leading to him spilling the soda water all over me. It completely soaked my lower top and my jeans making me look like I wet myself. The waiter didn’t even apologise and threw a wet, very used tea towel at me to use. After the 8 of us only having a main course and 2 drinks each, we decided to move on because we were not enjoying ourselves. We asked for the bill in which they got not one but four things wrong. The put a Heineken that we never got, the glass of Pinot Grigio we didn’t order, three vodka instead or two and they charged for the chicken in my ceaser. We showed the sever this problem he got very annoyed asking why we’re picking at this, he fixed it and only took off a sweet chilli dip for €1.50. After mixing up our order many times and spilling on me, I would have thought the service would be nicer. Considering there were many of us there and we were going to stay for dessert and a few more drinks and we paid an overall service charge of €22, I would expect the service and staff to be way better. I will not be coming back here if I can help it. It’s really gone downhill in...

I was in Alfies with a group of friends yesterday and we were disappointed with a lot of things that happened. We were 12 girls looking to get some food and drinks. The manager gave us 2 little tables in the bar upstairs that couldn’t fit 12 seats, but he didn’t care. There were bigger tables available in the other corner, but he told us that was for restaurant menu only. So we needed to seat far from our friends as there was no space for us all together, even though the bigger tables were empty the whole Evening. He told us that people were going to leave other tables soon , so we could seat all together. we ordered food and drinks. As soon as people left we went to sit together, but the waitress comes and tell us the tables were reserved and we should move. We then moved table again but the waitress tells us it’s reserved for 9pm and we should move when time comes. This could have been avoid since beginning, if they told us there was no seats or if they give us the empty big empty tables for dinner only. At the end there was a problem with the bill, everyone paid separated and one of us gave the waitress 50€ for 2 glasses of wine, but when the waitress comes back she tells her there is no change for her because it was missing money from the bill. What a mess!! On the first place the bill should have been checked when people are paying. Every other restaurant or bar is like this. You should have a calculator and tell everyone at the time you are charging them that something is missing, not taking somebody’s cash and do not return change. This is unacceptable!! There were things already paid on the bill that weren’t taken off and, in the end, the count still wasn’t round. We don’t know who’s mistake was it as mostly all of the girls were gone when the waitress came back without my friends change. We Were very...
