With an array of delectable dishes that tantalize taste buds, the restaurant's fresh take on traditional favorites is a delightful surprise for connoisseurs of South Indian cuisine.
Fish Curry: A standout dish, the fish curry is a harmonious blend of spices and flavors that transport you straight to the coastal regions of Andhra. The tender chunks of fish immersed in a rich, aromatic gravy leave a lingering taste that is both comforting and exotic.
Pani Puri: A burst of tangy and spicy flavors, the pani puri here is an absolute delight. The crispy shells filled with a refreshing concoction of tamarind water and spiced potatoes create an explosion of taste in every bite. A must-try for those seeking an authentic street-food experience.
Vada: The vada, with its crispy exterior and soft, savory center, is a perfect companion to the piping hot sambar. Its subtle blend of spices and lentils is a testament to Andhra Bhavan's commitment to preserving the traditional flavors of South India.
Kheer: Indulge your sweet tooth with the rich and creamy kheer, a dessert that perfectly balances sweetness and richness. The hint of cardamom adds a fragrant touch to this classic South Indian delicacy, making it a delightful conclusion to a satisfying meal.
Jalebi: The jalebi, with its intricate swirls of sweetness, is a crispy, syrup-drenched confection that captures the essence of Indian desserts. Its delicate texture and balanced sweetness make it an irresistible treat for those with a penchant for traditional Indian sweets.
Brinjal Curry: The brinjal curry, with its medley of spices and tender brinjal slices, offers a delightful twist to the meal. The dish's subtle heat and rich flavors complement the other dishes perfectly, adding a touch of home-cooked warmth to the culinary journey.

Read moreLet me tell you, getting a table at this place is like trying to snag tickets to a concert – it's that popular. My first attempt? Epic fail. I settled for takeaway samosas and hoped to be back next time.
Living down in Cork, I knew I couldn't risk another walk-in disaster, so a reservation was a must. Thankfully, booking was a breeze. Big shout out to Anousha, who made the whole process super smooth. Honestly, that kind of customer service sets the tone for a great dining experience before you even taste the food. (The website wouldn't accept booking for one so had to call the restaurant).
Stepping into Andhra Bhavan, you're immediately hit with that buzzing, vibrant atmosphere. It's lively, it's packed, and it smells absolutely divine. You can tell this isn't just another Indian restaurant; it's an experience. From the moment I sat down, the staff was on point. They were incredibly systematic, attentive, and genuinely cared about my meal. Natasha, my server, was an absolute star. She checked in regularly, made sure I had everything I needed. It's those little actions that make a huge difference.
Now, let's talk about the food! I opted for South Indian Breakfast Thali and Paneer Pulao. The flavors were explosive! - Soft idlis, hot and crispy Vada, fluffy mini onion uttapam, masala dosa, sambar and chutney tasted perfectly. Although the garlic/tomato chutney, which is listed on the menu, has been discontinued. For the Pulao the rice was aromatic, and the paneer was meltingly soft. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. The spice level? Spot on. It's definitely got that signature Andhra kick, but it's balanced and flavorful, not just heat for the sake of it. If you’re a spice fiend, you'll be in heaven. If you're a bit more cautious, they'll guide you to the perfect dishes.
Honestly, Andhra Bhavan lives up to the hype. It showcases the power of delicious, authentic food and excellent service. The fact that it's constantly packed speaks volumes. So, if you're craving a taste of authentic Indian food in the heart of Dublin, make that reservation! Trust me, it's worth the wait. Lastly, I believe Andhra Bhavan has the potential to become a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant.
Overall: A must-try for any food lover!
P.S - They do allow sharing thalis/dishes among diners...

Andhra bhavan is hands down the best south Indian restaurant I've ever visited in Ireland. Right from the time of booking until we left we had a great experience. We almost forgot we weren't in India. Since I'd mentioned I had a little one they made sure to check with me the requirements of the child in order to make sure they provided a suitable seating area. They were adept with all the facilities like high chairs, places for the buggy etc. They offered some banana chips and sweets to entertain the little man while we decided on our order.
Inspite of the rush hours they were patient and helped us with the menu selection understanding our requirements of being a vegetarian.
A special shout out to the staff here. Their pleasant smiles and kindness are no match. We felt welcomed as if we were at a family house.
Although we wanted to try everything on the menu we tried panneer chilli, veg thali, gunta panganalu, jalebi, rose lassi and gulab jamun.
Paneer chilli - freshly made with the right amount of spice and not just filled with tomato ketchup like in some restaurants.
Gunta panganalu - this dish is a must have for everyone. They made them crispy and tasty with ghee. It came with 3 chutneys and a big bowl of sambar. We just couldn't get enough of it.
Veg thali - Perfect option to try out many varieties all at once. My personal favourites were sambar, rasam, thondakaya fry, paneer curry and biryani.
Rose lassi - this was heavenly with the evident taste of rose and lassi in every sip in contrast to high sugars in many other places.
Jamun and jalebi were in perfect texture and freshly made.
We were so full that we had to take a stroll before we got back home.
Not to forget the great ambience.
Thank you for a wonderful experience Andhra bhavan. We're glad we found a quality place far...
