One of authentic chinese restaurants in Dublin! I am reviewing the malatang dish as I ordered one for sharing with a friend.

There are options of ingredients that you can choose from green leaves (chinese leaves, spinach, etc), carbo options like noodle, rice noodle in variety of choices, multiple variant of mushrooms, meatballs and frozen ingredients, maling (chinese luncheon), shrimps, tofus, fried eggs and more. You will put it in the big plastic bowls and scale it in the till. Do not get confused with the seasoning table, for malatang, they will cook it for you and ask your spicy levels, you may add seasoning later after it is cooked. I spent 22 euros for two people (mostly green veggies and mushrooms, 5 shrimps, a few pieces maling (which too salty for me), tofus, and mixed meatballs.

Usually they will call the number for you to pick your order.

Other than that, they also have fried dumplings, bubble tea and some drinks options. As expected from the authentic chinese restaurant.

I love the malatang, the taste was not too strong, there was numbing feels from the chilies as expected.

Highly...

It’s very tasty and really close to the taste in ma la tang restaurants in China, I’ve came a few times and I always finish everything including the soup. I feel that it’s unfair to say it’s expensive cuz I’ve come at least 4 times already and I’ve never spent more than 17 euros and I always got a bit of everything (noodles, beef slices, balls, vegetables and egg). I mean yes it’s expensive if you wanna compare it with the ma la tang in China but I call that double standards cuz I don’t see people complaining about paying more than 20 euros for a ramen in Dublin, right? Also I tried ma la tang in New York and London, it’s like double the price here, so please, bear in mind that Dublin is not in Asia and stop complaining...

I have been to this restaurant several times due to the food tastes not too bad. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. The pricing charges concept of this restaurant is based on the weight of the food. Unfortunately, I noticed some differences in what was served versus what I was charged for. I am taking 3-4 pieces of prawns but I was only served 1-2 prawns. Additionally, some of the food items were taken out after being weighed. At the end, the price was ridiculous. The original price is €20++ but after the discount is €18++. There's no way that the portion comes with €20++ with so little food.

This lack of honesty from the staff was disappointing and definitely affected my...

The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. A little over priced but understandable given the current macroeconomic situation. “You Tião” (油条)is crispy, freshly prepared after ordering. This is not a vegetarian place but they know how to make it delicious. There are not very many places in town where I find vegetarian food is tasty and this is one of them. Some improvement can be made in my opinion. The spicy hotpot soup looks like is prepared from bones, but it tastes overly umami to be true. I feel it might have added too much msg. The ventilation did not work well during my stay. The dining area is full of a deep frying smell.
