I have been here a few times now before and after they finally got someone in who knows how to run a kitchen. Normally the food here is OK especially for pub food however, they have recently updated their menu and I tried the Haddock Smokies, the fish and chips and finished off with the brownie. Whatever thay have done with the fish and chips is definitely worth every penny. Best fish and chips in the city centre in my opinion. Then we had the Haddock Smokies which was a creamy cheesy fishy portion of heaven, even with the Irish homemade brown bread, everything complimented each other and this is something I'll definitely be coming back.

UPDATE 22/12/2023

Went in to try with a friend, their special which was Turkey and Ham which was a full Christmas dinner. This was amazing and my friend who has never tried the food at Lundys was just amazed by the level of standard and now is not looking forward to their own Christmas dinner. Absolutely amazing

Update May 2024

Lundys now have a breakfast menu and have tried their egg bacon muffin and their eggs benedict. Starting with the egg bacon muffin, the dish also serves up 2 freshly made hash browns that soaks up everything on the plate. A light but hearty breakfast and full of flavour. Also got the eggs benedict, eggs were perfectly cooked and had it ls own twist with the hollandaise sauce, where it had more of a tangy taste complimenting the dish. Very unique flavours, well balanced and my only critique on this dish is that, I just wanted more!

Breakfast at Lundys is a hidden gem. It's quiet, fast service and would recommend going before the breakfast...

Very disappointing! Wouldn't recommend going for drinks and music!

Sad experience. We went to lundy for lunch had a great time. Wanted to return to watch live music and have a relaxing time and cut a cake for birthday celebrations. They reserved us and we returned and were so happy to be sitting right in front of the music troop.

As the evening went by they kept pressurising us to order dinner. We had drinks and weren't hungry to have dinner. They then said if we don't order dinner then we will have to move tables to the back. As this was their "dinner table". We'll clearly they don't have any such rule on their website or menu. And when they booked us we were booked for the whole evening. Therefore it shouldn't matter when we order dinner and what we order. Finally they forced us to move to the back. And it was so disrespectful to give us a table right at the back where we couldn't see the music band or hear them as the speakers were off.

We came purely to enjoy live entertainment and we were moved for such an unreasonable and unethical reason. Its clear now that they were expecting tips and knew if we were only having drinks they wouldn't make much.

The saddest part was that the table they claimed they needed for dinner reservation was empty throughout the night.

At the end we didn't want to pay service charge due to the disappointment and poor treatment we received. To which I was shocked when the waitress claimed its not optional.

Disgusting service and way to treat customers. Would not...

Nice pub, good atmosphere, mostly geared towards tourists and staff were pleasant enough. We were a group of 5. We ordered 2 x turkey and ham dinners , fish and chips, chicken pie and linguine. There was little or no turkey on the plates, and the chicken pie was awful, the other dishes were fine. We were waiting a long time for our meal to arrive. I noticed a sign on the wall which stated that there was a 12.5% service charge for groups over 5, when we got the bill we were advised that they added the 12.5% service charge because we are a group of 5, I pointed out that the sign on the wall states this applies to groups of over 5 people and I was ignored and told we weren't obliged to pay it, then another staff member said it was policy. The service charge was handwritten in pen on the receipt which is unethical. They wanted 26.37 euro extra, I've no problem tipping but not when it's forced on you and especially when the "policy" states it's applied to groups over 5, so I felt they were pulling a fast one. I would go back to this pub but I wouldn't recommend the food, this ruined the enjoyment of our trip here as we just felt we weren't listened to and we were made feel mean when we questioned the service charge, we gave a 19 euro tip due to the principle of the matter and we weren't informed about the service charge from the beginning and the signage is clearly misleading, we didn't even get a thank you which I feel is the most important thing to do , the welcome and the...

I recently visited Lundy Foot's in Temple Bar for the second time, and it was another five-star experience! I enjoyed the Christmas Turkey special, followed by dessert and coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Irish stew, which I had on my previous visit, was hearty and flavorful, truly a delight. However, the highlight this time was undoubtedly the apple crumble—possibly the best I've ever tasted in Ireland! The combination of caramel, custard, crumble, ice cream, and a delightful apple pie filling was simply out of this world. Located in the heart of Temple Bar, it was certainly a proud day to be Irish. The cozy atmosphere was enhanced by a talented solo musician who not only played beautifully but also shared captivating stories about the history of the songs and their connection to Dublin, mentioning Irish greats like James Joyce. The hospitality was impeccable, making for a truly memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Lundy Foot's for anyone seeking an authentic Irish dining experience!

Our tour guide suggested this pub and they must partner with the company as many touring people were sat in the back near us. If you take the tour you get a bit of a deal on certain menu items. The atmosphere is pretty good as it is an old style pub with a fair bit of room. The menu has traditional and modern food. We went for lunch and had the chicken mushroom pie which was served in a bowl of almost mushroom soup and it was a puff pastry rather than a traditional pastry which I was hoping for; however, it was tasty and hot- I’d have liked carrots and peas in it. My husband had a BLT with soup and it came on a hamburger bun which I wouldn’t have liked but he said it was good. We shared an apple crisp but I did’t like it at all - small, more like a tart than a crisp, overly sweet, you could barely see an oatmeal crumble on top but they did include ice cream and some very sweet white sauce which I didn’t care for either. Prices were not bad.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS. Planning on going there? Please do! No, nobody is paying me to say this (unfortunately, I'd like some more money to spend on Irish stew) this place is unbelievable, went there twice already in 4 days with my family. We got the Irish beef burger with fries, fish and chips and, most importantly, the traditional Irish stew. Omg.. Irish stew, like.. Guys, guys.. I'm Italian, I'm used to all the good food we have so you can trust me on this one! Complements and thanks to the chef! What about the staff? They're SOOOO lovely, always asking if we need something more and if the food is all good and YES it really is! Just saying.. Had 3 portions mashed potatoes, couldn't take it anymore, but no regrets at all! Look at this bad boy in the picture attached, it's so amazing, you won't be disappointed!
