Having been a fan of the Unicorn, I was delighted to see it had reopened and looked forward to visiting again. Overall the food and service interaction from a waiter was great and really enjoyed it. My only one gripe was everything felt very rushed. Very little gap between courses and even at the end our table was being cleared as we sitting there. 3 courses complete in just over an hour. When you enjoying the food as we were it’s nice to enjoy the atmosphere and chat. It would be different if we had been told the table needed to be back by a certain time then I might understand the rush. Overall positive

What an experience! Unicorn Restaurant is a little off the beaten path, yet it was packed on a Wednesday night - that usually speaks for the quality, in my opinion. The atmosphere was lively with a hint of sophistication and history. If you want to feel transported out of the busy city for a night, this would be the place to go. The food was sensational; Burrata, Ravioli Tartufo Bianco paired with a glass of Passo Antico 2016, and finishing on the Amalfi Lemon Tart! The staff was delightful and very attentive. We will be back!

The Unicorn was our favorite restaurant in Dublin. Located near St Stephen's Green on a discreet alley, the restaurant is a gem. It's elegant but not too stuffy, not too noisy, and it has a wonderful vibe that feels intimate but not boring. With all this said, the best thing about The Unicorn is the food. Wonderful Italian inspired menu but not what you traditionally expect to find in an Italian restaurant. The service was top notch. If you are in Dublin and want something different from Pub food, try The Unicorn.

The food was alright, we ordered chicken breast which originally comes with spinach but we ordered without. However, we got with spinach. We also ordered a portion of sweet potato fries and one with regular fries. What we got was two portions of sweet potato fries.

We talked to three different waiters. One who took our reservation, she greeted us nicely and told us that the dinner menu where able from 05:30 pm and that we were welcome to arrive early but then we had to wait a bit for dinner if we ordered from the dinner menu. That was not a problem for us! We arrived 15 minutes early (05:15pm) and another waiter greeted us. When she came to take our order she wanted us to pick from the lunch menu and told us about an offer with a starter. Which was nice of her, but we preferred ordering from the dinner menu. She didn’t take that very well and tried to walk away before we could order a side dish to go with our chicken (the fries). As soon as we had told her our food order she walked rudely away, at this point we had not gotten to order any drink. We had to contact another waiter to order a drink.

Later when we got our food, the waiter did not say anything to us, barely look at us. When we asked for the bill it came straight away but the waiter once again barely looked at us, as if she wanted us to get out of there as soon as possible.

As a conclusion, the food tasted alright but we did not get what we ordered and the service...

Had dinner here 23rd September for birthday. Choose this restaurant as it was top of the list in trip advert. It was over priced and draughty. We were given a nice seat but then they decided it was too warm and left a door ajar to let some air in. Where we were sitting was down the end of the restaurant near the toilets in an alcove which by leaving a door ajar cos they felt hot made no sense and no effect on the restaurant. I was about to ask them to close it but another couple came in and sat nearer the door and they questioned why it was opened and said that it was fine. So as I sat there eating my dinner (don't know how the couple who were sitting at the door felt) I was in a draft and all my food went cold. Got a glass of white wine my choice and paid 7.50 euros for it. Bought a boll the in my local shop the previous night for 8 euros. The glass was big but the contents was really small. The food overall was nice but the portions left a lot to be desired for the price we paid and what we got. Won't be going back in a hurry I am afraid. Also online menu read different to the menu we got which was a bit of a...

Food was good but our server was clearly overwhelmed. They were really understaffed. They had no bartender so all the servers were pouring wine and making drinks themselves. We could see them rushing back and forth just trying to keep up. The food was pretty good - it was authentic Italian but was disappointed they didn't have squid ink pasta that night for the seafood pasta I ordered (which said squid ink on the menu, I still ordered it anyway with regular pasta). The ambiance of the restaurant was nice although we sat in front of the door which meant we kept getting hit by a cold breeze every time someone walked in. I wouldn't mind visiting again as long as I wasn't in a rush and I would probably make reservations next time especially if it's at peak hours. We got there a bit early and the restaurant wasn't too busy but all the tables were full by the time we left. It's also not a really big restaurant. Btw, this restaurant has nothing to do with...
