Le Arcate — Restaurant in Bologna

I write in advance, I have always and only eaten pizza there, so I have no idea about the other food restaurant. The staff is very nice and available. The service is relatively fast and the prices are honest. If you love thin and crispy pizza you must try it: it is huge but very light. If you are in group I suggest you to get the pizza by meter. Throughout the years, only one time, I had to complain about my pizza because it was too burned. I gently asked the waiter to change it and he came back quickly with a new warm pizza that was great (after, to apologize, he also offered us a digestive). Only one little and negative note, I am reporting because it did not affected me directly: when I went there with a friend of mine, who is in a wheelchair, he noticed the bathroom was a bit uncomfortable for him. My parents also loved this pizzeria.

Premetto che vi ho sempre e solo mangiato pizza quindi non ho idea di come sia il ristorante. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. Il servizio è relativamente veloce ed i prezzi onesti. La pizza, se vi piace quella sottile e croccante, è assolutamente da provare: è molto grande ma davvero leggera. Se si è in gruppo vi consiglio la pizza al metro. Negli anni mi è capitata una sola volta di lamentarmi perché, al contrario del solito, la mia pizza (quella volta un calzone) era troppo bruciato: ho chiesto gentilmente al cameriere di cambiarmela e, poco dopo, è arrivato con un ottimo calzone fumante (per scusarsi, inoltre, ci ha anche offerto un digestivo a fine cena). Unica nota leggermente negativa che però non mi riguarda direttamente e riporto soltanto: quando sono andata a mangiare la pizza con un amico che, purtroppo, è sulla sedia a rotelle questi mi ha fatto notare come il loro bagno fosse abbastanza scomodo per lui. Anche i miei genitori hanno adorato...

Very nice easy going restaurant. It was very tasty. We tried the Cotoletta a la Bolognese. And tagliatelle al ragù (bolognese style). The cottole is like a schnitzel, but heavier so be mindful. However to try and share is great. I'll highly recommend. The tagliatelle al ragù I personally quite didn't really like. It wasn't anything special and it wasn't that flavourful as I know it can be.

The staff was great I must say. Very very friendly and funny. I felt at home. I'll still recommend. The pizzas also...

As a senior female eating by myself I was shown the table near the service area; unacceptable. The menu indicated house wines but the waiter said they only had house wines in litre size notwithstanding the menu detail. They apparently only have water in large sizes (meant for two). Once I received my pizza (which was okay but not great) that was the last I saw of my waiter. I was hoping to like this place because I will be in the neighborhood for a year but I don't...
