There's very few places I have given a bad review for, but this is an experience that I have to share. We walked into the restaurant without a reservation, so they told us they could seat us if we could be done within an hour (to accommodate people with a reservation). We agreed to that and were seated on the third floor. We ordered a salad and a pizza within 10 minutes of being seated but did not end up getting our salad until 30 minutes after we ordered. While waiting we noticed people who were seated after us getting their pizzas. The worst part was, when we asked the waiter about our pizza and told him that we may not have enough time to finish it, he gave us an attitude and basically just told us we had 20 minutes to eat it (while the pizza was still not even on our table yet). He said something in Italian which was loud enough to have other diners turn around and look. He did not speak much English so he sent his co-worker over, to let us know that we will have to take the pizza to go. So now I am forced to eat a cold pizza in my hotel room because I decided to go to...
Read moreVery nice place to have a bug lunch or dinner. We ordered a pizza for each of us and they were easily big enough for a dinner. I was unable to finish mine. Despite this mine only costed 15 Euros. I strongly recommend the "la Montanara" as it takes the normal formula for a pizza with ham and pepperoni and replaces the tomato sauce with a creamy mushroom sauce. For dessert, we shared am applestrudel and it was delicious. They replaced the normal flakey pastry with a much more cake-like pastry. The drinks were nice but nothing special. The same goes for the service. It was quick and formal, the staff were quite friendly but It wasn't exceptional. The building itself is very old and looks beautiful. We sat next to the window and the chairs were very comfortable. I have no complaints and if you ever find yourself in the area and in need of a pizza, I strongly recommend this place, with its amazing food for...
Read moreGood day. It is recommend restaurant. The offer good local (mix of Italian and Austrian) food using good ingredients. The fit out is very nice one and there are few rooms available. Usually we are having lunches there and there is no problem to find tabel for two. Any St Magdalener wine is recommend as it goes very well with this food. We paid around 70EUR for two persons including bottle of wine (around 20-25 EUR). we had starter that we shared (pizza with porcini, bresolla and Trufle) and each took a main course (different pasta). I would recommend this restaurant for each kind of event: family lunch, dinner with friends or wife as well as business...
