Franziskanerstuben — Restaurant in Bolzano - Bozen

We were at this restaurant on August 25th with my family, two adults and two children. Maybe we were just unlucky, or maybe the lady is a racist. While waiting in front of the restaurant, the OWNER ignored us, even though the waiter said we had a reservation and should be allowed in. She let other guests in while ignoring us.

When making the reservation, I mentioned that we wanted to try many dishes, but we were given a tiny table where we could hardly place anything. The table was so small that we couldn't even put bread or olive oil on it.

Then I received a very salty soup, and the OWNER decided to replace it by diluting it with water🤮. Traveling through all of Italy, we have never been treated so poorly as we were in this restaurant. I definitely do not recommend this place. In the end, the OWNER told me that if I wanted a bigger table, I should go to a restaurant with stars, not come to her restaurant. It was a really sad experience.

Byliśmy w tej restauracji 25 sierpnia z rodziną – dwiema osobami dorosłymi i dwojgiem dzieci. Może mieliśmy pecha, a może pani jest rasistką. Czekając przed restauracją, właścicielka ignorowała nas, mimo że kelner mówił, że mamy rezerwację i powinniśmy wejść do środka. Pani wpuszczała do restauracji innych gości, ignorując nas.

Podczas rezerwacji mówiłam, że chcielibyśmy spróbować wielu dań, a dostaliśmy malutki stół, na którym praktycznie nie mogliśmy nic postawić. Stolik był tak mały, że nawet nie mogliśmy położyć na nim chleba ani oliwy z oliwek.

Następnie dostałam bardzo przesoloną zupę. Pani kierowniczka postanowiła ją wymienić, rozcieńczając ją wodą 🤮. Podróżując przez całe Włochy, nigdzie nie zostaliśmy tak źle potraktowani jak w tej restauracji. Zdecydowanie nie polecam tego miejsca. Na koniec pani powiedziała, że jeśli chciałam większy stół, to powinnam pójść do restauracji z gwiazdkami, a nie do nich.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante il 25 agosto con la famiglia: due adulti e due bambini. Forse siamo stati sfortunati, oppure la signora è razzista. Mentre aspettavamo davanti al ristorante, la proprietaria ci ha ignorato, nonostante il cameriere dicesse che avevamo una prenotazione e che dovevamo entrare. La signora lasciava entrare altri clienti, ignorando noi.

Durante la prenotazione ho detto che volevamo provare molti piatti, ma ci è stato dato un tavolo piccolissimo, su cui praticamente non potevamo appoggiare nulla. Il tavolo era così piccolo che non riuscivamo nemmeno a mettere il pane o l'olio d'oliva.

Poi ho ricevuto una zuppa molto salata. La responsabile ha deciso di sostituirla, diluendola con acqua 🤮. Viaggiando per tutta Italia, non siamo mai stati trattati così male come in questo ristorante. Non lo consiglio affatto. Alla fine, la signora ha detto che se volevo un tavolo più grande, avrei dovuto andare in un ristorante con stelle, e non da loro.

I traveled to Italy by myself, and my first encounter with blatant racism was in Bolzano! I was the only Asian customer in the restaurant, and there was a strange object in my drink—this only happened to me. This is extremely dangerous as the object was hidden under the foam and could have caused choking when consumed!

A white customer nearby experienced a service error, and the waiter apologized profusely to him. However, when it happened to me, I just got a simple "sorry" and a replacement drink.

The waiter clearly saw me calling him multiple times, but he deliberately ignored me and served others who came after me first. I was there before them, but he made me wait. While he was warm and attentive to other white customers, he treated me with blatant indifference and neglect.

When I was leaving, the waiter warmly said goodbye to the white customers but completely ignored me, even though I was walking ahead of them. This place is an absolute disgrace! Not recommended!!

Additionally, the bread served before the meal was not fresh, and the crackers had a noticeable...

I would say that the food was OK, but the service was bad. Me and my three friends went to have a two course meal. We were the second party to arrive that evening and there were three people waiting the tables in the pretty small restaurant. Until we had had our second dish, we had been at our table for 1,5 hours! The staff simply did not pay us attention even though we actually stared at them and made eye contact with them. We showed - in every possible way, except for actually waving and screaming (which you really shouldn't need) that we wanted the staff's attention, but nothing.
