We have visited this Restaurant for Lunch July, 12th in 2025. It is located opposite of Hotel Palazzo Doglio and belongs to the Restaurant MAIORI. You can sit inside or outside . Inside there are only a few tables for two people. So it makes sense to do a Reservation. Fast we got a card with a QR-CODE to download the Menu. The offers have the character of FAST FOOD. I have ordered a " Fried Chicken with fried potatoes " offered at a price of 14 €. What I have received was a " Schnitzel (Chicken) with fried potatoes" = "Cotoletta e patatine" charged with 15 €. They have put paper underneath the "Schnitzel=Cotoletta" on the plate with the consequence to cut the meat and as well the paper which is stucking under the meat.. The other ordered meal was OCTOPUS SALAD (Insalata polpo e patate), 12 €. The bottle of Beer nonalcoholic was charged with expensive 4,50 €. The choice of Mineralwater was more than poor. They only offer water out of the pipe or a small plastic bottle water (2 €). The Service was poor because there was only one Server who needed to care about 20 guests including to prepare Drinks and bread. We were sitting 10 minutes in front of our finished meals and it wasn't removed. Then we have asked for the bill, got it and needed to wait one more time to be able to pay. Only Visa-Card was accepted for payment. My subjective individual rating: Offers: 2 Stars Preparation of Meals: 2 Stars Service: 2 Stars Price and value for money: 2...

Inside, the space feels warm and inviting, with a bar at the entrance, red-toned décor, and a glimpse into the kitchen through a service window. Menus are accessed via QR code.
We tried two dishes: • Spaghetti with Clams and Bottarga – A lovely tribute to Sardinia. The plate looked elegant, with fresh cherry tomatoes brightening it up. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, and the bottarga (cured roe) added a delicate, savoury depth without overpowering the dish. • Eggplant Parmigiana – This came with air-fried eggplant layered with tomato sauce, Parmesan, and basil. It was rich and cheesy, with a generous amount of sauce. Personally, I would have preferred a bit more eggplant to balance the cheese and tomato, but it was still comforting.
Service was attentive and friendly. A nice touch was when the waitress noticed a pasta sauce stain on a shirt and promptly brought over stain remover – a thoughtful gesture that showed great hospitality.
Overall, Pummarola offers a warm atmosphere, good service, and dishes that celebrate Sardinian and other...
